Get ready to head out to Yellowcreek, with the release date that we have for Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher now
The indie horror scene will soon have another title out there to enjoy on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher. Another title coming from JanduSoft, but made by just another solo developer out there in the world. Something that can both help and harm the game, but that will only be seen on August 6th when the Yellowcreek Stories start to play out. Stories that do look as if they will take us all back to a camp or cabin in the ’80s, with a single killer hunting us down. A killer that also looks to be close to many others we’ve seen over the decades in the horror realm. That’s getting ahead of things, though, so let’s see what else will be dropping on the new release date that we have.
Given the size of the team and Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher, it wouldn’t be weird if you had yet to hear of the game. It’s another in the first-person stealth horror games, where we will need to hide and outthink a killer who is hunting us all down in the forest setting. Again, a lot like the slasher films of the ’80s that were all the rage. In addition to all of the hiding and sneaking, we’ll need to be mindful of light and noise, as the killer will be able to hunt us using all of that. All to add to the fear and slow pace that Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher will have for us when it comes to our survival. If that sounds like a video game you want on your list, mark down the date for it, or drop it into your wishlists wherever you plan to play it. You have a month to figure all of that out, along with the following clip to help sway your opinion.
Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher — Release Date
A masked killer hunts you in the dark. Manage noise and light, hide quickly, and survive this intense first-person stealth horror experience inspired by classic 80s slasher films.
A stormy night. A remote mountain cabin. Someone is watching you.
A masked killer stalks the area and reacts to sound, light, and movement. No combat. No second chances. Survival is about staying unseen, keeping calm, and making the right call under pressure.
Survive by mastering:
- Noise: every action matters — loud mistakes draw attention

- Movement: sprinting is risky; careful steps keep you alive
- Hiding: when you’re spotted, you’re already behind
The killer actively searches based on your behavior, turning every encounter into a tense mind game.
Features:
- First-person stealth slasher inspired by classic 80s horror
- Stealth built around sound, light, and movement
- Reactive enemy behavior and search patterns
- Minimal HUD with real-time noise/visibility feedback
- Interactive cinematic moments
