The release window for Clockwork Revolution is now set in, as we get to see how the heist in the game will kick off the events of Clockwork Revolution
For a game about time, it’s been a bit of time since we had any kind of good update for Clockwork Revolution. This would be the steampunk title that inXile Entertainment that has been working on, which looks like a blending of BioShock and Dishonored to give you a quick flashback to it all. I’m seeing the game as being more than that, but I just wanted to make sure you were up to speed on things before we dive into the Heist that we’re going to see kick things off for Clockwork Revolution. One that we’ll also get to play out in 2027 on the Xbox Series X|S and PC. Yes, it’s no longer listed as “In Due Time” for the release date, but sometime in the coming year. That’s the first big bit to go into before we see how things will play.
For those still trying to catch up on what Clockwork Revolution is all about, it’s a new action shooter where we’ll have the special power to manipulate time. Sometimes, in ways that will help our ragtag gang out in the moment, with the bigger elements being that we can alter reality by changing things in the past. That’s something that is highlighted in the following video, along with the various cast of characters we’re going to be working with in Clockwork Revolution. A gang that seems to be more of a crew pulling off big heists in a world that is not only dominated by the steampunk machines, but also a corrupt government or society that needs to be brought down a peg or two. My guess is that they had control of this device we’ll have in the game, and our little drone buddy is here to even the field or give the working class a chance to succeed. Have a look and see how well that might go, but also a solid look at all of the elements I’ve already mentioned.
Clockwork Revolution — The Heist
A job goes sideways.
After being thrown into the past, you discover the ability to manipulate time. For the first time, you have control of your fate and the fates of your gang. But the threads you pull at don’t always have clear outcomes. Time travel’s a bit messy, turns out.
Clockwork Revolution is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2027.
Are you excited to see that you’ll be able to play Clockwork Revolution relatively soon? Will it be early in 2027 that we’ll get to play it, or will it be pushed to the end of the year?
