Rock, Paper, Severed — Reveal

Get ready for a new high-stakes experience with Rock, Paper, Severed, and see how Rock, Paper, Severed might change some of the game

Get ready to take on a challenge that will have you dismember your friends, with Rock, Paper, Severed. A new title on the way from Buzzin’ Games for the PC that is taking the fun little Rock, Paper, Scissors gameplay and turning it into something truly dark out there. Dark in the way that the loser will lose one of their fingers as the game carries on. That might make it a little difficult to toss out the different symbols over time, but that is where some of the other darkness in Rock, Paper, Severed will come in. At least, that’s all based on the recent reveal we have for the game out there in the wild. Let’s have a look and see if it is going to be the dark title that some might have been waiting for all of this time.

There is a bit more than the classic game going on in Rock, Paper, Severed, as that might have been a bit dull if there wasn’t more. Each finger we have in the game is a “life,” but we’ll also have various tools to use in the matches to try to figure out what the opponent is going to use or throw. This is how it will go in both single-player mode, where we are playing against an entity causing all of this, and multiplayer mode, where things can get a bit more chaotic. No matter the case, Rock, Paper, Severed is a little more on the deduction side of things than it is on the throwing general hand gestures out and hoping that yours is the one that comes out on top. Even if one of the winning strategies in the game here does sound like it is more along the lines of finding out how much you are willing to lose during the game, so you can walk away with your life in the end.

Rock, Paper, Severed — Reveal

Dismember Your Friends

Four enter. One leaves.

Take your seat in a two to four-way multiplayer mode. Face off against your friends in a brutal game where every throw has consequences. Each player’s hand is their life, and every loss costs a finger.

Bluff, outthink, and outlast. Because in this game, it’s not just about winning…

It’s about how much of yourself you’re willing to lose before you do.

Tools of Trade

The rules are simple. The tools are not.

Turn the tide with a collection of items designed to shift the odds in your favor. Bend the flow of the game, outmaneuver your opponents, and survive a little longer.

Use them wisely…

Meet Your Match

Face off against the Entity in a one-on-one game to wipe away your sins…

You’ll play on its terms, bound to a game you can’t walk away from. Each round is another step toward absolution… or something far worse as fragments of your past begin to surface.

The Usual Suspects

Choose from a colorful cast of misfits, each bringing their own history, tells, and reasons for being here.

Uncover their stories and settle the score the old-fashioned way: rock, paper, scissors, and see whose left with fingers to point when the blood dries.

All On The Line:

  • A horror-infused reimagining of the classic game Rock, Paper, Scissors.
  • Fast, frenetic, and simple gameplay that hides layers of strategy.
  • A twisted arsenal of items, means no two hands ever play the same.
  • Every finger is a life. Read your opponents, bait their choices, and gamble what remains of you.
  • Face friends in chaotic multiplayer or uncover something far more unsettling in the Entity’s duel.

Does the twisted setting of Rock, Paper, Severed intrigue you enough to give it a further look? Will these other tools be things that can be used to make one symbol better than the other? Will there be a way to make it through the entire game without losing a limb? What do you suspect will be the final goal of the entity beyond causing just mass suffering in the gaming world? Let’s talk it all out and come out on the winning side of all of this in the comments. The idea behind Rock, Paper, Severed does catch my eye, and I’ll see about adding all that I can for the game on the site here. Please just follow along and watch all of our socials to see when we have more to share. It should be a blast, and maybe a new party game that those twisted gamers will want to play out there.
