Head Onboard The Cassiopeia As We Get Ready For The Launch Of Directive 8020

Directive 8020 — Crew Transmission #03 - Onboard The Cassiopeia

Go behind the scenes again with Directive 8020, and see how the ship we will be wandering came to be in Directive 8020

Here we go with the latest transmission from Supermassive Games as it all comes to Directive 8020 out there in the universe. Even if we all still have to wait until May 12th to have a shot at playing the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While the wait carries onward, though, we can have a look at the ship that we will be roaming in the horrors of Directive 8020. Along with all of that, we can see how the alien has taken things over slowly, as well as how it went from the clean corporate look from the concept art to the truly “lived-in” ship that has character. Let us have a look at it all and get further excited for this game now.

Just as we have seen in so many games out there, Directive 8020‘s ship started as some basic concept art. Art that looked good on paper, but as soon as it made its way to the 3D space, it felt too “clean.” Not that a corporate ship would not feel that way from the start, but the crew has been on here for a while, things are bound to happen, and this is a horror title after all. So, the team added in some grime, along with various other elements, to help shape the crew’s personalities in the world. That is where the ship will be at the start of Directive 8020, but by the end, and as you can see in the video, it will take on a new level of body horror in the universe. Not just in look, but in cramping spaces down further and causing some truly horrific events to play out, too.

Directive 8020 releases on 12th May 2026.

From the creators of Until Dawn and The QuarryDirective 8020 is an all-new cinematic sci-fi horror adventure that blends intense survival gameplay with meaningful choices and a branching storyline.

Is it interesting to see that Directive 8020 was going to go with a completely clean look, and is it nice to see how the environment will play up the story? Will there be a larger link between the games with Corinth, or will that only be the Easter Egg company that shows it is all in the same timeline? Will any of the ship be locked off by the alien, or will we just have to always get dirty in the mix of things out there to navigate the ship? Let us hear it all out in the comment section further down the page. There should be a whole lot more from us for Directive 8020 in the coming weeks, so please keep checking the website for those updates. We will keep the social channels updated as well, so you might want to follow along on all of those so you never miss any of our content when it goes live.
