WILL: Follow The Light Has A Revised Release Date For Us

WILL: Follow The Light — Delay

A slight delay is here for WILL: Follow The Light, as we will need to wait an extra week for WILL: Follow The Light

It looks as if we are all going to need to wade in the waters a bit more if we were looking to play WILL: Follow The Light on April 28th. That was the date that TomorrowHead Studio had listed as the official release for the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As it seems to do, though, we have been hit with a little bit of a delay for WILL: Follow The Light, and the game will be missing that mark. On the bright side, it is now listed to release on May 7th, so it is only a slight delay. A delay and one that makes a bit more sense than the usual ‘polish’ reasoning that we have with so many other games. So, make sure to update your calendars as needed.

I’m sure you are wondering at this point why WILL: Follow The Light had to be delayed if it wasn’t for that extra ‘polish’ that the games usually take. Well, it seems that the release week that was originally planned became a little crowded for the developer who is also self-publishing. Their first go at that, so they want to make sure it goes smoothly and WILL: Follow The Light doesn’t get lost in the mix. So, it is all about making sure that we have a week to play all of those other titles, so we can focus on this one when it comes. Along with allowing the team a little extra time to make sure that everything is working well in the game. Not a terrible tactic, and one that I’m sure will lead to a better title in the end. Usually, that is the case when we allow things to cook for the correct amount of time and not rush them out to get the monetary rewards.

Come in,

This is TomorrowHead Studio.

It’s not easy for us to share this, but it’s an important decision for our team, especially as a self-publishing studio working on our first game – and to be honest, it’s not something we’re used to doing.

We’ve made the decision to move the release date of WILL: Follow The Light to May 7, 2026.

The timing around our original date became more crowded than expected. At the same time, this extra week gives us the opportunity to run final checks on the build and make sure everything is working exactly as intended. As this is our debut project, we want to be confident in every part of the experience, while not jeopardizing the opportunity to share our debut game with as many people as possible. All in all, sometimes it’s better to pause and wait out the storm rather than set sail in rough seas.

We can confirm that the game will still launch simultaneously across all platforms and we truly appreciate your support and understanding.

Thank you for staying with us.

Over and out.

How do you feel about the slight delay that WILL: Follow The Light is getting? Do you think it will help with the sales of the game if it comes out during a time when it isn’t crowded? Will a week of playing all of the other games make you appreciate this one a bit more? Will we even get to go back to a time when we have large gaps between video game releases? Let’s hear it all out in the comments so we can discuss it all. Now that we have the new ‘when’ for WILL: Follow The Light, we will certainly have a little more of the gameplay to share leading up to it. So, please keep checking in here for all of those updates and the many others we still have in the works. Watch our socials for when all of that is going live so you don’t miss a single thing.
