The second chapter to SCP: Fragmented Minds is out there now, and we can see how the SCP entities are evolving further
The breach continues in the world of SCP: Fragmented Minds, as we have the next chapter out there on the PC as you are reading all of these fun words here. So, get ready to head back into Site 113 if you put the game down, and see just how HST Game Studios is going to keep evolving the title. Also, to see if this is going to be how the game is going to be served up when the final launch of SCP: Fragmented Minds lands out there in full form. I would like to think not, but these are weird times in the world and in the video game. It is time to get back on topic and have a look at just how the world is expanding and what we can expect as the Early Access keeps raging on for this one.
The story of things is left a little vague, for a good reason here, as no one wants to be spoiled on what happened at Site-113 here and how the SCP Foundation messed things up. What is a good little highlight for those who want to see is that we are getting fifteen new areas to explore and find audio logs that describe the events we are looking into. All while we have to navigate more of the entities and a new robotic entity that seems to be hunting us down relentlessly. Luckily, SCP: Fragmented Minds‘ second chapter will offer up a new device for us to use so we can traverse the world in a vertical way as needed. It looks like a short burst teleport, but something that we are going to need to master if we want to survive and make it to the end of the game. As long as we are still going to get a final version of all of this, as the Early Access wraps up. Have a look and see if you are going to want to throw in for this experience, as it keeps growing.
SCP: Fragmented Minds — Chapter 02 Launch Trailer
The containment breach continues. HST Game Studios, in partnership with indie publishing platform indie.io, launched Chapter 02 of SCP: Fragmented Minds on Steam. Available now as a free Early Access update, players can descend deeper into the Martian facility of Site-113, now expanded with new horrors, evolving environments, and the most ambitious systems overhaul yet.
This new chapter pushes players further into the fractured remains of Site-113, introducing 15 new areas to explore, including the shifting North Wing—a dynamic location that evolves as players progress—and The Forest, a mysterious and unsettling zone built around a major puzzle encounter tied to a highly requested SCP. Every step forward reveals new threats, new systems, and new questions about what truly happened.
New SCP entities and an additional mechanical enemy expand the roster of anomalies, bringing fresh and unpredictable encounters into the facility. From the unseen terror of SCP-966 to the unpredictable presence of SCP-149, each encounter challenges players to rethink survival strategies. Among them is one of the most iconic SCPs, now realized within Site-113, delivering a moment that longtime fans won’t soon forget.
Gameplay is significantly deepened through the introduction of new core systems. The EL2 Wrist Device enables vertical traversal and rapid repositioning, opening up new paths and tactical options. Scranton Reality Anchors allow players to stabilize—or manipulate—the fabric of existence itself, altering moment-to-moment gameplay in meaningful ways. These additions are supported by a new armor system, upgraded and craftable weapons, a full skill tree for player customization, and a dynamic infection system that adds persistent tension to every encounter.
Narratively, the chapter expands on the aftermath of Site-113’s collapse, uncovering more about the SCP Foundation’s failed Martian operation. Through audio logs, environmental storytelling, and cinematic sequences, players will piece together a story that grows increasingly unstable. A new guiding character provides context within the SCP universe, while side content—including the long-awaited SCP-049 storyline—adds further depth and player-driven discovery.
Built directly from community feedback following Chapter 01, this update represents a major step forward for SCP: Fragmented Minds as it continues its Early Access journey toward a full 1.0 release. Systems introduced here will also inform ongoing improvements to earlier content, reinforcing the evolving nature of the experience.
SCP: Fragmented Minds is available now on Steam, with Chapter 02 included as a free update.
