The next project is on the way to The Outlast Trials, and it looks like there might be a Judas in the mix of things in Outlast
There is more coming over the airwaves when it comes to The Outlast Trials, as we have the next project getting teased to us all. Not just teased, but it looks as if Red Barrels might be shifting things around more when it comes to the story of it all. Almost as if there might be a traitor inside the organization that Murkoff has here. Partially, this all comes from the name of the project, Judas, but also it is coming from the cinematic look we have at what is coming to The Outlast Trials on March 24th. So, let us have a watch and get ready for the anarchy to come to the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Anarchy that might not be done by the players specifically…
This new project in The Outlast Trials will be taking us deeper into a broadcast studio and introducing us all to the Kress twins again. Only that this time, they seek to push their agenda forward a bit more, from the looks of things. For the players, this means that we have new trials, challenges, and events to partake in. Even one where we are going to be encouraged to collect items that have been discarded or dropped by downed reagents. The way the video here shows, it might also be to actually fight back against the shadow players in The Outlast Trials. That is my take on it, at least, as things might be a bit different once we get a full rundown of what is going on gameplay-wise. We will certainly know next week when everything fires off out there. Have a look and see just what is going on, and maybe those lore hounds out there might be able to better figure things out before we all kill each other.
The Outlast Trials — Project Judas
Pull The Plug Before He Goes On Air.
The twins’ dream of supreme power has never felt closer to reality. The Outlast Trials returns with its sixth season, Project Judas, premiering March 24 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, with all the polish and menace of a primetime broadcast.
Otto and Arora Kress are back, and this time, they want the airwaves.
The Kress Twins have spent years meticulously grooming Bob Vanier, a silver-tongued celebrity and idol to the masses, into their ideal political candidate. Molded to serve Murkoff’s agenda, Vanier is moments away from announcing his candidacy, live on national television, unless Reagents can seat Murkoff’s own candidate first.
Welcome to the Television Studio. The stage is set. The cameras are rolling. Here is a brief preview of some of the new additions to expect:
- 🟢 TRIAL: SILENCE THE IDOL 🟢 You are the electric eye, the ravenous panopticon that births and consumes with the same razor-toothed orifice. Tear, burn, and crush the face of false charisma, and we will let you out.
- 🔵 MK-CHALLENGE: SOLVE THE MURDER 🔵 You are the fetishist, whose obsession with the totems of violence allows you to define more convenient truths. Find the evidence to condemn our chosen killer, and we will let you out.
- 🔴 NEW LIMITED-TIME EVENT: SCAVENGER 🔴 Prepare for the [REDACTED] collapse. Enter the Trials with nothing. Salvage unstable, single-use Rigs from Reagent corpses. Collect discarded mechanical components and return them to drop boxes to be used for the [REDACTED] of [REDACTED]. Some questions are better left unanswered. For now.
- 🟣 NOT ALL REWARDS ARE EARNED INSIDE THE TRIALS 🟣 For those observing the chaos from a safer distance, additional rewards await. From March 24 to April 14, tune in to participating The Outlast Trials Twitch streams to earn rewards through our latest Twitch Drops campaign.
Where do you see this part of the story going for the world of Outlast, and does this signify that we might be seeing the end of the road soon? Do you think that the scavenger event will be something to get players ready for an endgame, or will it just be something to give characters hope while keeping the horror ongoing? Will the Twitch Drop campaign be needed to get some great things in the game, or just a way for those who do not have all the time in the world to join the anarchy in some way? Let us have all of those thoughts down in the comment section there. For more on The Outlast Trials, please keep coming back to the website here. Also, please follow along with all of our social channels to see when things go live for you all out there.
