A new reason to leap back into Assassin’s Creed Unity is here, with Assassin’s Creed Unity getting a 60 FPS update on consoles
With all of the news flying around for the IP out there, it is good to see that there is something good and for Assassin’s Creed Unity. A title that I am sure Ubisoft would have loved to have a redo with when it came to the launch, but that will never happen. Instead, it looks like they are still aiming to make the game better and bring it up to par with some of the more modern titles out there. That, or at least, get Assassin’s Creed Unity running as well as they have all of the Far Cry titles as of late. That all said, it looks like there is a new update for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version of the game that will offer us all a way to play it with 60 FPS natively. Only about a decade late, but better late than never.
That, sadly, seems to be the only update that these versions of Assassin’s Creed Unity seem to be getting. So, the game will still have any of the faults that are still present in the game when it comes to the core gameplay loop. Not that we should have expected anything else, but at least they are trying to keep it all relevant for now. Especially as we all wait for the next big entry into the Assassin’s Creed universe to drop out there or for another remake to come about. Even if I know we are all waiting for a new title and not a rehashing of something we have played many times over. They do run things more like a business instead of a studio that is putting true art into the world, so none of this is surprising. We will just have to be happy and maybe see if the other titles from the past will get the same treatment down the line.

Is it weird to you that Assassin’s Creed Unity is getting this update, or will it be something to pull us all in until the drama settles at the studios?
