The next character for Invincible VS has been announced, and it looks like Powerplex is bringing the fight to Invincible again
It looks like the previous invasion is over for Invincible VS, as we have the fourteenth character announced, and it is not another Viltrumite. Thank the gods that Quarter Up and Skybound Games are not just going to keep dropping those characters in the game, even if we still have some time until April 30th when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We will put all of that aside, though, as we have Powerplex joining the roster of Invincible VS to antagonize our main hero even further. I am sure we will all be up to the task, as the gameplay shows, and now we can see how this fighter is going to try and hold their own in the area with all of these other godlike beings.
For those not fully up on their Invincible lore, Powerplex is another the world’s antagonists. One who has it out for the main guy after the death of his family. He is a bit of a scientist and somehow gains the ability to absorb kinetic energy through a few different experiments gone wrong or right. He can then turn that energy into electricity to do all manner of other things out there. All of that is carrying over into Invincible VS, which does explain how this character would be able to hold their own against all of these other fighters on the roster. Even if the gameplay here does make it look like Powerplex will just have access to all abilities without the need to be hit by other fighters. That would have been an interesting mechanic to try to implement, but I know that would not have flowed well with everything else going on in the game.

Powerplex is the 14th Fighter announced for Invincible VS. Play as Powerplex along with the rest of the 18-fighter roster when Invincible VS releases on Xbox, PC, and PS5 on April 30th, 2026.
