Three of the Far Cry Classic titles have a new update that will bring more of the Far Cry family into the 60 fps world
It feels like it has been some time since we had a solid full entry into the Far Cry IP, and that wait seems to be growing without another new main title on the way as of yet. Given the cycle of things over at Ubisoft, that feels a little off, but it is what it is. Especially since it feels like they have been diving more into the nostalgia of the past with a few of their games after some of the other recent things that have gone down. Which is why it will be fun to dig up more of those classic Far Cry titles again, as three of them have a new update on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, to bring them into the modern gaming world. One that will land the games with a fresh 60 fps option to let us all experience them in a different light… Again…
To make sure we are all at the correct level of excitement for this new update, the titles in question here are Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, and Primal. So, only one in the main line of games and two of the spin-off titles. Granted, these were all big hits when they came out, even if Primal was one of the lesser ones. They all still hit hard and have a place in the hearts of many, so it does make sense that these are the ones getting the update. Even if it would be nice to get a full new title in the Far Cry line or one of the dreaded remakes that are all the rage, too. That could all be in the works, though, and this is just a little stopgap to make sure the teams have the money and interest coming in as we all wait. Here is a quick look at how the games are going to flow if you do head back and play them all with the new update.
Far Cry Classics — 60 FPS Updates
More frames. Same chaos.
Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, and Primal, now in 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.

Is this an update you have been waiting to get in Far Cry 3 or the spin-off titles, or is this just a little nicety to keep us all interested in the IP? Will we ever get to see another title in the lineup, or has the IP hit a wall for the longer time being? Would you want to have a full remake of the past titles that we have had, or should we always be pushing to get something new in the market out there? Let us all discuss this in the comment section of the page. If there is news about the Far Cry IP at all, know that we will share it all here. Please keep checking the website for those updates, and follow along on all of our social media to ensure that you catch them as they drop.
