See what is hiding behind the various Doors out there, as we check into the announcement for Project: Doors
Every door that we open might just have a surprise behind it, well, at least that is the idea in the recently announced Project: Doors. A new co-op title from Teletower Studios and Polden Publishing that will put some emphasis on that when the game fully hits the PC. Especially as it looks like one of the big twists to the game will be that the various doors we open will take us to different worlds, and offer up slightly different experiences for us to partake in. Like a mixture of multiverse hopping mixed with the strangeness of the Backrooms style of things out there. That is the IP that seems to keep on giving out there, although this one does only feel as if it gives slight nods to that. For now, let us dive into what this new game is going to give us.
So, as the story goes in Project: Doors, it looks like you and three friends have been tasked with doing what you should not be doing out there, and opening the various doors in this weird labyrinth out there. Each one will open up to a different place, which is where the rest of the gameplay kicks in. Once we head into the various doors, we will need to grab every bit of loot we can find while also not losing our minds in the mix. All so we can try to make it back with everything we found. Of course, this will be easier to do with teamwork, but it is not always that easy. We all have our own looks and gear to upgrade and swap out along the way, so there is a little bit of an incentive to have the most once back, it seems. If any of that sounds like a bit of fun, have a look at the full announcement that we have for the game just a bit further down. Then get ready to wait a bit longer until the final version of the game is wrapped up and packaged down the line.
Project: Doors — Announcement
Welcome to the Labyrinth – where every door is a surprise, and logic clocked out ages ago.
Yesterday you were wandering through a bunker, today you step into a hotel, and tomorrow you might end up in a forest… underground.
- Chaos, But Make It Co-op — Grab every piece of loot, whisper conspiracies in voice chat, and try to keep the paranoia from winning. Everyone here is losing their mind in their own way – but escaping is only possible together.
- Look Good In The Apocalypse — Customize your character from boots to badges. Look cool – even if your buddy’s corpse is stuffed in your inventory.
- Ghosts, Zombies, & Things That Shouldn’t Exist — Some enemies walk through walls, others break down doors with their bare hands. Some just wait for you to look away. And yes – you can actually carry bodies around.
- A Camp That Feels Like Home… Almost — Rest up, patch your wounds, stock up on supplies – good. Now dive back into hell for the next anomaly, the next key, and yet another story too wild for anyone to believe.
Do you have any fun thoughts about Project: Doors as it all goes, or does it look like another basic looter kind of game? Will they all have some lower-end visuals out there, or could we find some places that look amazing, where we are not going to want to leave? How different will the various enemies feel out there, and will we be able to see many updates and changes over the course of the game’s life cycle? Let us have those thoughts down in the comment section so we can discuss all of them. Project: Doors does look like it could be a lot of fun, as long as everything keeps playing out, so we will have all the updates we can find for you. Please keep checking in on the website to see and hear about all of those things as we head into the new year and beyond.
