See more of Styx in action, with some new gameplay that we have to share for Styx: Blades Of Greed to hype us all up
It looks like we have more gameplay sneaking out for Styx: Blades Of Greed just ahead of the February 19th release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not just more, but a good chunk of a mission out there with Cyanide Studios offering up looks at the same gameplay that we have been sold on for a while, but also some of the newer things we will be able to do in this stealth game. Along with a bit of a look at how the visuals and other game aspects have been improved upon since the first Styx game dropped out there so long ago. Get ready for some new toys and new abilities, along with a look at our main goblin doing things for some altruistic reasons as well. Not something I thought we would ever see him do.
While I will say this is new gameplay to start with, I will have to call out Nacon on trying to promote it as “raw” gameplay of Styx: Blades Of Greed. I do not think much has been altered to make the game look better than it will once we get it, but there are a lot of edits and time skips to make this “raw” footage. That said, it looks like we are going to have a lot of what we had before when it comes to the stealth and the options to take down enemies in the game. This includes all the usual distractions, invisibility, and poison we can use to bypass most of the guards. It does look like Styx will have a new dissolving trap in the mix, a few new ways to control his goblins and possessed guards, while having a new option to set a way point of sorts, so we do not have to backtrack a whole level to get back to our objective. A nice little touch and improvement that I think was needed to keep the game pressing forward in the cycle of things. Have a look and see, but take note that it might spoil one of the missions and a little bit of the story for those who like to go in blind.

Did you expect there to be a whole lot of changes for Styx in the game, or do all of these additions feel like a true progression for the game and character? How often will we be able to teleport back in the game, or will those only be select points to help keep the flow of things going? Do you hate when publishers push a “raw” narrative when it comes to the gameplay, or does that not bother you as much anymore with how things are in the world? Let us have those thoughts down in the comment section, we can discuss all of them and more. Even if it is cloaked in shadows, we are going to keep watching for more when it comes to Styx: Blades Of Greed. All of that will be shared here, and on our social media, so please follow along with all of that to make sure you do not miss out on a single nugget of information along the way.
