Tread Where Others Fear In The Fantasy World With Our WARLOCK

WARLOCK — Announcement

The announcement for WARLOCK, a new Dungeons & Dragons game, will place us deep into what it is to be a Warlock

Fans of D&D, it’s time to get excited with a new title on the way to us all with WARLOCK. A new title from Invoke Studios that will place us into a new area of the fantasy world and explore the class of the same name. That is at least the assumption and feeling from the announcement video we have, and a description of a protagonist who happens to sound like one of the first to go with the Warlock style. I mean, they are a veteran warrior who makes a pact with an otherworldly being to wield new magics while fighting off an even darker power. That sounds about what I would expect to read right out of the books. Although we’re going to have to wait until the game launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC to know for certain if that is the case, and my speculation was spot on.

So, in addition to playing a Warlock, it looks like the game will be a third-person and single-player affair. Leaning more into the action style of gameplay than the inspiration IP would normally be. Not that D&D can’t have action, there is just usually a lot more mixed in. Especially when we are adding in these otherworldly beings for the insane magic we will have. If the following sizzle video for WARLOCK is anything to go on, it looks as if we will have the ability to summon all manner of beings to help, while also blasting with dark energies as well. All to bring down that larger evil force that is out there. Have a look at what the hype is all about as we wait for that gameplay to launch out there in the coming months.

WARLOCK — Announcement

Be defiant. Bend the rules. Tread where others fear.

WARLOCK is an original, third-person, single-player action-adventure game. It takes place in a dark fantasy open world inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. Developed by Invoke Studios, the game places players in the role of Kaatri, a veteran warrior who makes a pact to wield otherworldly magic against dark powers. WARLOCK is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox.

Does all of this sound like a standard Warlock character to you? How will this only be inspired by D&D instead of a custom campaign that we get to experience? Will it be fun to have an action-adventure game in this world and with this kind of character? How twisted will the story end up being when all the cards are on the table? Let’s have that discussion in the comment section a little further down the page so we can keep the hype flowing for this one. If there is more to share for WARLOCK, I’ll certainly share it here and on our socials for you all. Please follow all of them to make sure you are not missing out on any of our updates out there.
