It is time to meet the protagonist of Jurassic Park: Survival to see if they will be able to make it out of Jurassic Park
The news is starting to flow out there for Jurassic Park: Survival, even though we still have no idea when it will be released to the public. Not very much in the way of how the game will be played, but with the new update from Saber Interactive showing us who we will be playing as. We had the hints before, and now we get to see Dr. Maya Joshi in action out there. Another of the various doctors who were trapped on the island where Jurassic Park takes place. Also, our player stand-in for the game, so we have a reason to play the game when it does hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That all said, let’s take a look at how the character is being brought into the park and to life for the game.
Even though this might not be the character from the Jurassic Park universe that you might have wanted to play as, it does look as if they are making Dr. Joshi both a vulnerable and capable character in the game. Closer to a real person who is in this horrible situation, and not some hardened marine who is out for blood. That should make the game a little more relatable, and some of the action choices make sense beyond just pushing the game forward. I fully dig that. Not to mention that it is nice that we are getting to see Payal Mistry bring the character to life in Jurassic Park: Survival in not just voice, but in look and actions too. An extra level of realism for us to have in our video game about a broken-down dinosaur theme park. Not a jab at the IP, but we do need something to add that tension for us in the way of realism, or the horror elements of it all just would not work.

Saber Interactive, in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, has released a new video detailing the making of Jurassic Park: Survival, in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This newest look at the title shows how the teams at Saber and NBCUniversal are working together to create the immersive experience Jurassic Park fans have dreamed of for decades: the opportunity to explore a fully realized Isla Nublar in an all-new story set one day after the events of the beloved 1993 Jurassic Park film from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.
The chance to take fans back to the original Jurassic Park to explore firsthand is one that’s been years in the making. Developer and publisher Saber Interactive has worked meticulously with the team at NBCUniversal to recreate the many wonders and dangers of Isla Nublar down to the finest details. Fans can look forward to visiting Jurassic Park’s most iconic locations, as well as discovering new landmarks and surprises never seen before.
As Dr. Maya Joshi (played by actress Payal Mistry), an InGen scientist left behind on Isla Nublar, players will experience an intense mix of first-person stealth and action gameplay in thrilling encounters with the island’s unique dinosaurs, brought to life with special attention to capturing their authentic look, movement, and behavior from the film.
