A new update for Cave Crave is out there, and it brings new horrors to Cave Crave along with a few other things
It is time to descend further into some horror out there in Cave Crave and the VR space again. Not only some new horror, but a whole new way to experience the climbing simulation that Take IT Studio! and 3R Games have placed out there on the Meta platform. Also, something to help tease those gamers who have been playing Cave Crave on the PSVR2, as this new update is on the way there in the future. An update that brings in that fun bit of horror to climb through, along with a new Arcade mode to test your skills even further. As long as you want to do your climbing, the safety of the virtual space, and not out there in the real world. One is certainly more exhilarating, but a little deadlier along the way.
The new features and mode for Cave Crave offer up two vastly different experiences, and for free. The horror map will take us further into the cave system out there and face off with some new Lovecraftian horrors from the abyss. Just what every cave diver might be afraid of seeing, even if some won’t claim that. The other mode is a new Arcade Mode that will have us replaying certain maps in Cave Crave, but for speed and skill more than anything. That way, we will have more to show off from the game instead of just basic bragging rights. Not that we couldn’t just upload the videos of that already, but this one will have a nice little leaderboard to let the world know who can make the climbs faster and with fewer errors.
Cave Crave — Arcade Mode & New Horror Map
Cave Crave Expands Its Depths with High-Adrenaline Arcade Mode and New Horror Map!
🎮 Arcade Mode: Speed, Skill, and Elevation
A brand-new, dynamic Arcade Mode has been added to Cave Crave, transforming the spelunking experience into a race against time — against your best runs and those of other players. In this mode, players traverse twisting outes through cavernous terrain, triggering checkpoints and pushing to beat their best times. With the adrenaline of parkour-style climbs and sprints through the underground, Arcade Mode gives a fresh, competitive spin on the game’s climbing and traversal mechanics.
👀 Horror Map: Lovecraftian Terrors Beneath the Earth
In addition, Abyss — a new map for the game’s Horror Mode — has arrived, inspired by cosmic dread and subterranean monstrosities straight out of a Lovecraftian nightmare. Players descend into blackened caverns where echoes stir and every shadow hides something ancient and malevolent. It’s a chilling new dimension for those who thought they’d seen all the darkness.
📢 The update is available on Meta Quest, and it will soon arrive on PSVR2. It will also arrive to SteamVR version, with the developer confirming that the PC port is in its final testing phase and scheduled to launch within the next few weeks.
Have you been climbing around in Cave Crave before now? Would it have been nice to have this new horror map out before Halloween instead? Will the new horror map also have the Arcade mode option so we can speed run through all of the frights out there? How long will it take before these updates make it to the PSVR2 for the console gamers out there? Let’s talk all about this in the comments below. The updates keep on flowing out there for Cave Crave, so be sure to keep on flowing back over here for them. Watch the site and the few channels we still have up and running out there, so you know when you can head further into the cave systems that are growing all the time.
