Directive 8020 Brings Us Face-To-Face With Death & RTX On

Directive 8020 — RTX On

A new look at Directive 8020 is out there to give us all a better look at the visuals Directive 8020 might have when it launches out there

Well, it is Halloween, which means we are getting all of the spooky game updates today, and here we go with another that will not be launching until 2026 with Directive 8020. A title that we should have been able to play by now, originally, but Supermassive Games needed more time to perfect it for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not a terrible thing, and maybe it will give us all some fun extras in the mix to enjoy. Extras and some improved visuals for Directive 8020 if you have a system that can run things at top-tier. Which is what we have here to show off for the holiday and give you all a nice little treat. Let us see just how the game will run when all the RTX features are turned on, and just how optimized the team has the game thus far.

Sadly, for those not looking to see how the Frame Generation, DLSS 4, and Path Tracing will look in Directive 8020 when the RTX is on, there is not much in the way of new gameplay or footage to look at here. We are going to need to wait a bit longer for that little treat. For those with the hardware to have all of these accelerations active, you can now be treated to seeing how crisp and realistic the visuals of the game are going to be for you. Even if we are looking a lot at the void of space. The lighting and everything do shine a bit more, if I do say so. A solid way to help try to sell video cards out there for the PC gamers who want to experience it all in Directive 8020. Also, maybe it will add an extra level of depth and feel to those gamers too, so they can try to be further immersed in the universe. Time will tell, and now, you can see it all for yourself instead of just reading my words.

Directive 8020 — RTX On

Directive 8020 will launch in 2026, featuring DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and Path Tracing. Get an early look at the new RTX On trailer.

In Directive 8020, Earth is dying, and humanity is running out of time. 12 light-years from home, Tau Ceti f offers a small sliver of hope. When the colony ship Cassiopeia crash-lands on the planet, its crew soon realizes they are far from being alone. From Supermassive Games, creators of Until Dawn and The Quarry, this all-new cinematic sci-fi horror adventure, set in their Dark Pictures universe, blends intense survival gameplay with meaningful choices and a branching storyline.

Do you think this will be the best way to play Directive 8020, or just a fancy way to sell more video cards out there? Will it look that much better over the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game, or will it just be more bragging rights for those few who have everything set up to play at this level? Is it odd to not see the version of the game where RTX is turned off so we can all compare it, or is it all too close that no one would be able to tell the difference? Let us have all of that discussion down in the comment section. We know we will have a lot more for Directive 8020, so please keep on checking back here to see and hear about all of it. I know I am getting further excited for the game, even if I wish I were playing it right now. Maybe this will be one of those good things that come from waiting…
