The console release for The Cabin Factory is finally here, with one more look to spook us all into playing The Cabin Factory there
Get your hard hats on, console gamers, as the launch for The Cabin Factory is finally here for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. No, no matter which system is your top choice, you can play this fun little title from International Cat Studios and Future Friends Games. Perfect timing for those looking for a quick game to burn through for Halloween. The Cabin Factory is all about us being the inspectors for the world’s best haunted cabins for all of the theme parks and other attractions out there. So, what could go wrong with that? Well, besides what happens to give us the dark story, we will uncover as we make our way through the factory floor and figure out which ones are truly haunted or not.
Those feeling inundated with so many horror games for the season should take note that The Cabin Factory is more of a short and sweet experience than anything that will take up your whole season. A nice little sixty-minute experience, more or less, where we will be inspecting each of the cabins that come through for any real haunts. There is a template, and we will just have to make sure each follows the same one so we can “clear” them. If anything is out of the ordinary, and we know there will be, then we need to incinerate the cabin and move right along. Even if it would be weird for The Cabin Factory not to make any cabins with animatronics or other effects that could come across as truly spooky. That would make the “find the difference” gameplay a bit harder, though, so these are only going out without all of the gimmicks, so we know if it is truly haunted or not. Have a look, or just add the game to your library for a fun little experience to have during the season.
The Cabin Factory — Console Launch
International Cat Studios is pleased to announce that their debut title, The Cabin Factory, published by Future Friends Games (CloverPit, Slots & Daggers), is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. This psychological horror is inspired by spot-the-difference horror shorts like POOLS, Exit 8, and P.T.
The Cabin Factory is a walking spot-the-difference about sorting the artificially scary from the truly supernatural. It’s a simple job: check out all of the cabin props, and make the call whether they’re safe or not to be used on set.
Pay close attention to each room. Any visual anomalies? Anything moving that shouldn’t be? If it’s haunted, turn back immediately and press ‘danger’. If safe, press ‘clear’. The final decision is yours, but know that you’ll be penalised for making the wrong choice.
The Cabin Factory is a short horror experience (~60 minutes) inspired by The Exit 8, Pools, and their virtual predecessor, P.T..
Have you been waiting for The Cabin Factory to hit the consoles, and are you ready to get a little more freaked out? Will it flow just as well on the consoles as it did on the PC, or will there be some weirdness that happens with the controller scheme? Would you like a harder mode where some of the haunted house stuff is also activated, or would that make the game next to unplayable, as we couldn’t tell if it was mechanical or supernatural with any ease? Take a walk on down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else out there. We will be trying to do a play-along for The Cabin Factory, as well as offer up anything else we can for the game, so please keep on coming back here to see and hear about all of it. Even after the spooky season has come and gone, too.
