The Amanda The Adventurer fun continues, with the console release of Amanda The Adventurer 2 just ahead of the Halloween season
It only took a year, and getting close to the launch of the final chapter of the series, but here we go with Amanda The Adventurer 2 coming to the consoles. Just in time for Halloween, which does seem to be the MO for MANGLEDmaw Games and DreadXP when it comes to this IP. So, we might need to worry about that wait when it comes to the third entry into the IP. For now, though, we can be happy that the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch will be seeing Amanda The Adventurer 2 on October 16th. Yeah, just a few days from the posting of this news, and you console gamers can see what all of the hype was about on the PC. We did love it around the offices here, that is for sure.
Those who have been holding out for the last year will get to see as the story of Amanda The Adventurer carries onward as Riley gets to leave the attic and head out to the town library in search of more answers to this weird legend going on around the town. Once making it in, Riley will have to get back to the puzzle-solving and slightly ARG-style of gameplay that we have grown to love, with all of the different ways things can play out. All specifically shifted in design to work for the consoles, obviously, as Amanda The Adventurer can get very point-and-click heavy in the past. All of this, so we can find this new entity out there causing harm and figure out how this children’s TV show is linked more. Granted, those who could not wait have most likely spoiled that and figured it all out, but those who held out will have some fun with it all just in time for Halloween. Amanda The Adventurer 2 follows Riley Park, who, after uncovering what was contained on the mysterious tapes in their attic, travels to the Kensdale Public Library to investigate further. Upon arriving, they’re greeted by a masked figure who claims to have known their Aunt Kate before she died, and needs their help finding something Aunt Kate had left in the library. They also warn of a powerful entity that seems to be drawn to the tapes.
Meanwhile, Amanda is now aware of Riley’s presence and is doing everything to find a way to free herself. Suddenly, the stakes are higher than ever before, as it’s not just Amanda looking for Riley now…
