A new demo for REANIMAL is out there to give us a taste of what REANIMAL will offer out of the Steam Next Fest
No longer will you only get to see REANIMAL through the lens of the basic announcement videos. As of right now, for the PC gamers looking for a couch co-op game, Tarsier Studios and THQ Nordic have put together a fun new demo for us all to play well before the game launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. That is still slated for a 2026 release window, so you might want to take advantage of the little peeks we have for REANIMAL now. If you are okay with potentially spoiling some of the fun before you can sit through the whole game. A difficult task, for sure, but one that I know many of us will toil with as the industry keeps on pressing forward with marketing over offering substance.
In terms of what we will get to play in this demo for REANIMAL, well, the following video for it does not offer up much. Outside of the couch co-op mode being a thing for those who don’t want to go through the game solo. Given that it looks to be a co-op style of game, in general, this looks like it will be how they test out everyone working together as our characters puzzle things out and move about this dark and weird world. REANIMAL does look a lot like Little Nightmares or Gloomy Eyes in terms of the setting and gameplay, so that is to be expected. Have a looksie at the latest for the game, or just grab the demo now from Steam and see if it will hold up the excitement for the next few months until we get into 2026 and can start to speculate on when we will get to play the full game. I can’t imagine it would be too far into the year with a demo dropping right now to tease gamers.

Will you be giving this a shot and spoiling a bit of REANIMAL for yourself? Do you think that it will function well as a solo title? Do you think this demo is more of a test for the co-op mode that the game will offer us all? What twisted darkness will there be in this demo, and how will it better inform the final version of the game? Feel free to discuss any and all of that in the comment section. More has to be on the way for REANIMAL, so be sure to keep a lookout for that on the site and our social channels. It falls right into our little cozy space around here, so know that we will keep on updating you all as we can.
