The next character for Invincible VS is announced, and it is one of the Invincible characters you might not expect
It has been a good clip of time since we had a new character announcement for Invincible VS, and here we are to build that roster out more. Even if this does not feel like the character many might have been expecting Quarter Up and Skybound Games to drop into the game. It is something new, and now we get to see as Cecil Stedman gets to leap from the pages and screen of Invincible over to this fighting game. All when it launches in 2026 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A really weird choice, given that he is just a normal guy, but the new gameplay we have might show off how Cecil can hold out with the best of the fighters that are coming to Earth.
I mention all that I did before, as it has been shown that Cecil is mostly just a mortal man in the Invincible universe, and the game is now placing him against effectively gods. So, it is nice to see that there is a wider array of characters getting brought in, but it does beg the question of how Cecil will hold his own. He has been shown to be a great strategist, and planning can help to topple these beings. Thankfully, that is not all Cecil will have in Invincible VS, as it does look like many of the weapons and gadgets Cecil has had in the past will be here for us to use in the fight. I do not think that balances things out perfectly, but it is a step towards all of that at the very least.
