Indie horror has another entry into the mix, with the launch for 《SUFFOCATE》 on October 23rd. These do tend to be the titles that hit harder or ask more questions of the human spirit, and Halloween does feel like the right time for Naughty Cow to drop the game on the PC. As long as you are into survival horror titles during this time, this one adds a splash of Taiwanese-style horror into the mix. Yes, 《SUFFOCATE》 is not going to be a horror title for everyone, but those more cultured might find some enjoyment in it. It is always nice to broaden your horizons and see the world in various ways than just the one you wake up to every day. That gets boring and will leave you on your own little oubliette of horror instead.
I am sure for many of you; this is the first time you are hearing about 《SUFFOCATE》. That is fine, as it is a title that will take us through a story in a modern Taiwan where we will struggle with things like family relationships, religion, and politics. All as our family falls deeper into the darkness of it all. This is where the gameplay of 《SUFFOCATE》 comes in, and we will explore, solve puzzles, hide, or parkour run away from the various bits of darkness we come across out there. Many of which look and feel like the various horror beings we have seen in Eastern culture over the decades. Something we can experience many times over, with the full run of the game lasting about five hours per instance. That sounds short, but I am sure that it will have a lot of payoffs as we run through it all many times over. The independent game developer Naughty Cow has released a promo of their survival horror game 《SUFFOCATE》, in which they announced that it will be available on Steam on October 23.

The game doesn’t shy away from violence, gore, faith, and sex in this one-of-a-kind survival horror experience, Taiwanese style.
