A new clan is here for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, with one of the former DLC clans getting a highlight for Bloodlines 2
The clans keep on rolling out there for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, with the latest being the Lasombra. The clan of shadows, and one of the two that The Chinese Room had slated as DLC before it caught some backlash about that. Now, it is a full and playable clan on October 21st when the game launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It also looks like it will be one of the clans that many will flock to when they play Bloodlines 2, as it does show them having a lot of power. Not to mention, the sexy priest look is running wild in this one as it leans into the lore of the World Of Darkness, along with the shadows that they are known to manipulate as well.
The new look at the Lasombra for Bloodlines 2 does look like it is going to lean into some of the mistrust that the clan will have in the world, but will still ultimately boil down to them having all of the power. More so, as they will have the same levels of Dominate that the Ventrue have, while also being able to summon shadows to attack their enemies, along with slipping into a different realm of shadows where they can move and not be touched. An interesting run of the list that they will have here in Bloodlines 2, but still very fitting. It also makes me wonder if we will see the Sabbat in the game as antagonists at all. They are namedropped in the new video for the clan, and could lead to some truly dark things happening out there in the game world if they are. Have a look into the abyss to see what you can do for the clan, and if it will be the one you select for Phyre from the start now.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Clan: Lasombra
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 will be released on October 21, 2025.
The action-RPG video game is the sequel to the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines. Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 lets players step into its story through two distinct, alternating perspectives: Elder vampire Phyre and Malkavian detective Fabien.
Today, The Chinese Room brings you a new glimpse into The Night Clan. Meet the Lasombra trainer of Seattle and see Phyre’s shadows in action.
Lasombra starts with “Oblivion” and “Dominate” as clan affinities, and “Shadow Cloak: Feeding on enemies casts you into the shadow, making you harder to see for a period.” as the passive ability. Then, as the game progresses, you’ll be able to unlock the following Lasombra disciplines:
- Arms Of Ahriman: Trap the opponent in a straight line with your shadow.
- Shadow Step: Step into your shadow and emerge from the shadow of your target.
- Glimpse Of Oblivion: Causes an individual to become afraid, fleeing from their allies.
- Enter Oblivion: Enter a dimension where only you and those touched by your shadow exist.
- Stygian Shroud — Clan Perk: Prevents mortals from attacking you while feeding.
How do you feel about the Lasombra in Bloodlines 2 now that we have a look at them? Do they feel overpowered by you as well? Will all of the story elements be changed up just for this clan, or will it only be select dialog options in the game? Will there be another clan just as strong to rival them in the mix out there? Creep into the comment section to discuss all of that and everything else that we have for it out there. We are going to have more for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, we know it, so please keep on checking back here for all of those updates and the many others for the various video games fighting for their spot too.
