The first of the 007 gadgets are on display, as we all get ready to experience just what 007 First Light offers us
007 First Light wouldn’t be a solid game in the IP if we did not get a lot of fun little gadgets to play around with in the game. That should be a given. This is, of course, something that IO Interactive is well aware of too, so now we are starting to see some of them flow out there. Starting with one that I am sure our 007 will be using a lot of as we make our way through the game. Even if in the films it is not always the most prominent of gear. It is a watch, after all, and it does a whole lot in such a compact space. Now, let’s see what it will do in the game just before the March 27th, 2026, release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.
As you will be able to see in the following video, this is going to be the gadget that we use to mark our enemies in 007 First Light. On top of that, it will be used in many of the other hacking ways, as well as looking through the environment for all of the various things we will need to be aware of. Similar to all of the “Hitman” or “Hunter” sense we have had in many other titles out there. The bigger difference here, in 007 First Light, we will also have the ability to fire off a laser from the watch. Just as we have seen in various movies for the IP out there. It does look like it will be for very specific things, so don’t think Bond will have a laser gun, but it is a nice touch to add in. Not to mention, a fun way to play with the environment that is truly fitting for the universe the character is placed in.
