Baby Steps Walks Us Through Some Fun Facts In An Unprofessional Way

Baby Steps — A Very Unprofessional Developer Overview

A new video for Baby Steps is here, with the devs of Baby Steps giving a raw, and improvised showcase

It is time to take some big steps forward in Baby Steps, as the developers offer up a fun look at the game just ahead of the September 23rd release on the PS5 and PC. All in a fun and joking way that Devolver Digital is always known for being out there. A very “unprofessional” way, but one that gives us all some fun facts about Baby Steps and was probably just as fun to record as the game looks like it might be. Put your feet up and get ready to learn a few things we might not have known about the game just ahead of the launch. Some of them will give us all a better appreciation for a game that looked like it might just be a meme game before now.

To kick things off here for Baby Steps, it looks like most of the dialogue in the game has been improvised and designed to give us all a solid laugh when it happens. Something that is rather highlighted in how the following video has been edited for us to highlight that fun. That’s not to say that there isn’t going to be a solid through line as the team lampoons a bunch of other series titles out there, but just the level of fun the team had and that they are passing on to us. Along with that, it looks like the world of Baby Steps will be fully open and filled with random “Easter Eggs” for us to have fun with, too. All as we use our thumbsticks to make the character walk around the open world without many constraints. The only constraints are those of the geometry that has been placed out there for us all to walk on. Have a look and listen to what we will get to experience very soon.

Baby Steps — A Very Unprofessional Developer Overview

Devolver Digital has enlisted Baby Steps developer Gabe Cuzzillo to create a developer overview video for the game’s upcoming release.

Devolver tasked the developer of Baby Steps to create a developer overview video for their impending release.

True to the game’s form, developer Gabe Cuzzillo simply recorded a few free-form takes talking about the game, and here are the raw, unedited results that were too good to not share.

Behold.

Was any of this expected from your for Baby Steps? Do you think there will be much of a serious tone to anything in the story of the game? What titles do you think we are going to see made fun of in the mix of it all? Do you wish that more developers would give us a raw demonstration as this was, instead of the usual sanitized versions we see out there? Walk down to the comment section and feel free to discuss it all. There will be much more for Baby Steps as it walks into our lives, I am guessing, so please keep a close eye on the site for those updates and the many others that we have coming very soon. You can even follow our social account to see if and when there is new footage just to look at for fun.
