Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Will Have The Lasombra & Toreador In The Base Game

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Overview

The DLC clans for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 will now be part of the core version of Bloodlines 2, with some new expansions

It looks like all of the howling into the night we did for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 and the DLC clans have finally paid off. No longer will the Lasombra and Toreador be paid DLC, but it looks as if The Chinese Room has gone through the effort to rework things and make them part of the base game now. Now, we have our options to choose from six different clans for Phyre to head off into the night, with the potential of more down the line for Bloodlines 2. As long as the game does well after its release on October 21st for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. I mention this, as it does look like some new and proper DLC has taken up the roles of what will now be in the core game. Let’s sink our teeth into these new things and get ready to take back the night.

Now that the clans are in Bloodlines 2, it looks like we are getting story expansions as part of the incentives to buy the bigger collections for the game. All of the cosmetic DLC is still part of these packages, but now we have two future DLC packs listed to keep us playing well into 2026. Loose Cannon and The Flower & The Flame. The first is a story surrounding the Brujah sheriff, and the second is a deeper story with the Toreador Primogen. Both of which will also bring more cosmetics for Phyre to wear in Bloodlines 2, as well as a good indication that the team has plans to keep things expanding well into the future. Potentially, these could have been two other DLC packs that had to be reworked and pushed around to make sure that we were all taken care of with the core clans. Given the gaps between their releases, it could also be seen that they might be able to drop in the other seven clans for Phyre to select from over time.

The action-RPG video game is the sequel to the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines. Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 lets players step into its story through two distinct, alternating perspectives: Elder vampire Phyre and Malkavian detective Fabien.

Navigate Camarilla politics and master one of six clans: Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, Ventrue, Toreador, or Lasombra. Every choice matters; protect the Masquerade or face the consequences.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 will be released on October 21, 2025. Pre-order now on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Expansion Pass also sold separately.

Did you think we would ever see all of these clans as part of the core Bloodlines 2 experience? Will we see more of the core thirteen clans in the mix, with maybe some of the other bloodlines down the line? Will there be more story DLC to flesh out the other major NPCs in the game? Will all of this be based on how well-received the game is by the gaming community? Let those thoughts bleed out into the comment section for us all to discuss.
