A full look at the next Vault Hunter in Borderlands 4 is here, with Harlowe having a weird family dynamic out in the Borderlands
It is time to gear up with some more science out there for Borderlands 4, with a look at Harlowe and what she will be bringing to the team of Vault Hunters out there when the game lands. Thankfully, we still have a release date of September 12th for the game with Gearbox dropping it all on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. Along with dropping all of the fun intros, abilities, and gameplay for Harlowe in the mix, so we are fully ready for Borderlands 4 when the day comes. So, kick back, relax, and get ready to dive deep into the character to see how her science has been abused, and how her family is a little more messed up than your own might be out there.
The science talk we have here for Harlowe stems from the fact that it looks as if she is responsible for some of the tech in the Borderlands universe. Well, she and her family of other hunters who are all fighting over the rights along the way. Given that Harlowe will have some fun guns and gizmos that will add some fun craziness to the fights, that makes sense. Things like the Chroma Gun, which will offer up some massive firepower. Then there is the ability to drop a gizmo that will debuff enemies or buff up all of our allies in the fight. All with the final ability of Harlowe being able to use anti-gravity bubbles to mess with so many others in the Borderlands 4 world. Have a look at how she will function in all of the videos we have below.
Borderlands 4 — Character Short: Harlowe
Harlowe is a former Maliwan combat scientist, driven by the need to understand how things work. While this initially made her an outcast amongst her Traunt relatives, Harlowe has used her intellect to bring new tech and gadgetry to the battlefield as a Vault Hunter. Harlowe’s brilliance is apparent in everything she does, but so is her enthusiasm and love for life. Harlowe brings everything to the fight, including her sunny disposition. Always ready to give a beat down, her spirit can’t be beat.
Using her collection of clever contraptions, Harlowe has a huge impact, whether she’s crowd-controlling enemies with Cryo and Radiation damage or enhancing her allies’ survivability. Her CHROMA Accelerator unleashes an Unstable Energy Pocket of Cryo damage that chills anything in its wake. She can isolate priority targets by suspending them in a Stasis bubble created by her HALO Accelerator, and she can buff allies and freeze enemies using her area-of-effect Flux Generator.
Harlowe the Gravitar is a former Maliwan combat scientist, driven by the need to understand how things work. Nothing says “power fantasy” like wiping out waves of enemies with a combination of crowd-control abilities and area-of-effect annihilation—both of which happen to be her specialty!
Using her collection of combat-ready inventions, Harlowe can dominate any space by nuking the battlefield with Cryo and Radiation damage, or protect herself and co-op allies with enhanced shielding and more.
Borderlands 4 is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and pre-purchase on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store!

Do you like the anti-grav bits we are getting, and are surprised that we did not see them in other games that slightly functioned with those powers? Fire off all of those thoughts down in the comment section, and then feel free to discuss them all as you so wish to do.
