The Nightmare Is Coming With The Release Of I Hate This Place

I Hate This Place — Release Date

We have a release date for I Hate This Place, and we will be diving into the comic book work world of I Hate This Place soon

It is time to get ready for a new nightmare to come at us with the release date for I Hate This Place. Things have been wrapping up out at Gamescom, and it seems that Rock Square Thunder and Broken Mirror Games needed to get one last little jab in there. That is, we have the release date for I Hate This Place on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. November 7th will be the day that we can head into the comic book world and face off with all manner of horrors out there. Even if it is a little odd to have the game miss the release window of Halloween, that feels right when it comes to the subject matter. Sadly, but still good news for those who were looking to jump into this title out there.

Just as we always get when it comes to release date announcements, we have a new bit of gameplay for I Hate This Place to look at and see just how things have progressed for the game. Just as we would all have assumed, it looks about the same, with the comic book style to the art and the isometric top-down look to it all. Now add in the shooting and other horror elements that we will have to craft around, and we have I Hate This Place. Well, a dash of the ’80s is tossed in to give the already specific style a little more flair for those who yearn for those days again. Even if it has been 40 years now and maybe we should move on from all of that. Not the point of the game, but it is that classic time that the game does need to be set in, so fans don’t question why things do not work the way they do in the more modern times. As if we couldn’t just use the supernatural to explain it all in the game in the first place.

I Hate This Place — Release Date

Broken Mirror Games, in partnership with Skybound Entertainment, has revealed the release date for I Hate This Place — November 7th, 2025.

Developed by Rock Square Thunder, I Hate This Place is a craft-focused, isometric survival horror game filled with twisted monsters and warped realities, all wrapped in a bold comic book art style and dripping with an ’80s horror vibe.

Explore a harsh and unforgiving wilderness and scavenge for resources. Craft weapons and supplies to fortify your shelter by day and prepare for nightfall, as that is when all hell tends to break loose.

Were you hoping to see I Hate This Place releasing a lot soon and during Halloween? Does it even matter anymore when video games are released, with so many on the market in general? How heavy into the ’80s will this one go? If you have enjoyed the comic series, will this game be spoiled by it, or maybe the other way around? Let’s dig into all of that in the comment section and discuss it all. I Hate This Place is firmly on our list to check out here, so expect there to be a lot more before the final release date out there. I expect there to be a few more teasers and a bit more gameplay to pop up just shortly before the final release of it all. It would make sense to give us those horrors during October and then build to the final release of it all. That is just where my head is with it all, at least…
