A quick look at the second playable character in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is out here, along with some extra gameplay for Bloodlines 2
Things are still flowing out there for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 after we had the release date announcement from Gamescom. Thankfully, this new little bit that is hot on the heels from what The Chinese Room gave us is leaning more into us actually getting the game on October 21st for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Even if it does show us yet another of the clans in Bloodlines 2 that we might not be getting with Phyre from the start. Maybe things will go crazy down the line, and we are not going to have to pay for each new clan, but here we go with the Malkavian. One that we will get to play as a little bit with Fabien. Another protagonist and investigator helping Phyre along the way in this dark Seattle setting.
If you are one of the few excited for Bloodlines 2 but have no clue about the clans in Vampire: The Masquerade, well, the Malkavians are a clan of vampires who have their perceptions opened wide when they are turned. So wide that their minds fracture a bit. Thus, they are usually insane in some way or another. That is something that Fabien will have to deal with. Good thing for Fabien, that mind expansion does allow some of the extra gifts to see and hear things that many others cannot. Along with knowing how to manipulate emotions in the mix, too. Something that Fabien will need to perfect when aiding Phyre in the story, and we see how the other half goes in Bloodlines 2. It is starting to sound as if we will have two full characters to experience here, but not much has been mentioned about Fabien in recent weeks. More so as we have a lot of gameplay to look at to see just how the development has shifted the number of times, which is maddening in general…

Alongside the release date, the digital Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Deluxe Edition and Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Premium Edition were announced. Pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition and the Premium Edition are now available on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

- Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Premium Edition: Santa Monica Memories and Shadows & Silk, a content add-on that enables players to choose the Lasombra or Toreador clans for Phyre. Each clan offers unique abilities, playstyles, and distinct outfits. (Shadows & Silk can be purchased separately)
All additional content in the Deluxe and Premium Editions will be immediately available to those who purchase when Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 launches on October 21, 2025.
