Halloween Is Getting Its Own Asymmetric Stealth Horror Game Now

Halloween — Reveal

The horror titles keep going into classic IPs, with Halloween getting a new video game for us all to play to keep the Halloween fun going

We have seen a few titles come out in the asymmetric stealth genre for a while now, and it looks as if the classic Halloween is on the way to us in 2026 now. All from the same team that has brought us so many other titles like this, IllFonic and with Gun Interactive helping along the way. All so we can put on our Michael Myers masks and head out to cause all levels of terror. The interesting part here, though, is that it does look like Halloween will be trying to give us something truly new when it lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not only will it be a multiplayer title, but it also appears that they are going to offer a single-player experience alongside it. That has me watching out for the boogeyman a little more now…

Details for this new Halloween video game are still sparse and rolling in, but we do have a few things to look at and take note of. Like the fact that the team will be sticking close to the original source story of the IP to bring Haddonfield to life for us as we play as citizens being hunted down by Michael Myers. Their job is to survive and get the authorities in to save them all. Michael Myers is just out for the kill and using what abilities he has to make sure the authorities never make it in. That standard bit of gameplay we could expect for Halloween. What is left out is how the single-player part will be handled. We have seen it in other games like Evil Dead: The Video Game, but that was more missions that we had to play that still were part of the multiplayer aspect of things. Maybe just before the holiday this title is named after, we will get to see how the single player will work, as well as if we will see our Scream Queen back in action, as we have seen in the other titles the team has brought to life.

Halloween — Reveal

Halloween, the asymmetric stealth horror game with single and multiplayer modes from developer and publisher IllFonic, co-published by Gun Interactive, and in partnership with Compass International Pictures and Further Front will stalk its way to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Game Stores in 2026, as revealed today on Future Game Show Live from gamescom.

Step into the chilling world of John Carpenter’s genre-defining film, now transformed into a suspenseful one-versus-many stealth horror experience. Put on the iconic mask to become the ultimate slasher, Michael Myers, stalking and executing the citizens of Haddonfield one by one, or striving to thwart Michael Myers’ plans as Civilians determined to save the unaware townsfolk before it’s too late.

Stick to the shadows as Civilians, seeking out Haddonfield residents to warn them and searching for a way to contact the authorities. As Michael Myers, give them a reason to fear the dark and cut the phone lines to prevent the police from ruining his favorite holiday. Whether playing solo in story mode, against bots offline, or facing others in online multiplayer, each mode rewards stealth, strategy, and skillful play.

Staying true to the original film, IllFonic masterfully recreates the eerie atmosphere of Haddonfield across multiple maps and authentic locations. With a haunting ambience and score inspired by the legendary movie, Halloween brings the terror home in a new experience that will keep both old and new generations looking over their shoulders.

Halloween will unleash Michael Myers onto Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Game Stores in 2026.

Did you ever think that Halloween was going to get a video game like this? Will Laurie Strode show up in the game and be one of the special enforcers in the game? Will we get to see more of the IP fleshed out over time in this game? Will we actually get a true single-player mode in this title, or will it be more of the minor missions we have seen in a few other games like this one? Stalk your way down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else you can think of for the game. We are certainly going to keep our eyes open for more with Halloween, so please keep on watching our channels to see all the fun little updates that we might finally be getting. Maybe even hints at other sacred IPs that we will see get the same treatment down the line as well.
