A new deep dive into Cronos is here, with the developers offering more to the story of Cronos: The New Dawn
Earlier in the week, we had a deep dive into the gameplay that Cronos: The New Dawn is going to bring us all when it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 5th. Now, we get to have a bit more of the lore and story that Bloober Team is crafting into the mix here. Some things that help to explain what we have seen up to now, as well as get us ready for the longer story that we will get to undertake when it launches. Including how the story will branch, and that we might not have to harvest everyone in the mix of things in Cronos. So, get your suit on and get ready to take the plunge into all that we have to offer for the upcoming story in the game.
If you are looking to go into Cronos: The New Dawn as blind as possible for the story, you might want to skip this one. While they do not tell you everything for it all, there are some fun things dropped that might spoil a bit of the fun. What will not be spoiled, though, is the fact that we will get to choose which people we harvest or let live in the story. These choices will alter the gameplay as well as the story, depending on. That is, harvesting will give us more “power” in the game, but we might lose out on allies and other story elements as the characters are no longer around. That is something fun to note, as well as the fact that Cronos will be offering up a realistic look at Nowa Huta, just in the future where it has been ravaged. Also, a few little extra buildings just for this world and for us to explore. If you want to know more of the story, then have a look at the video below, but those are the highlights that will not spoil much for you if you want to know as little going in.
Cronos: The New Dawn — Deep Dive Into The Story
Travelers! Let’s dive deep into the twisted time-travel story of Cronos: The New Dawn in our new developer diary! Join the Lead Writer, Grzegorz Like, and Producer, Klaudia Sewera, as they explore the core narrative themes behind our vision of survival horror.
The game will arrive on September 5 to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2!
Are you excited to see that Cronos: The New Dawn will have some fun twists to the story, depending on our choices, and will they actually shift more than a few bits of dialog? Will there be a challenge in the game to play it without harvesting a single character, or will that be impossible to truly do and still beat the game? Why do you think they opted not to do a true recreation of the city, and would that have further delayed the game to give us that extra realism? Dive on down to the comment section to leave all of those thoughts and more. We still have a lot more to come for Cronos: The New Dawn, and we will drop it all here for you as soon as we get it all. Please keep on checking in for all of those updates and the many others that are still on the way to us out there.
