The next character from Invincible is on the way, with Omni-Man joining the roster of Invincible VS
I would have to say, Invincible VS would not be a solid game for the universe if it did not also have Mark’s dad as a fighter, and now here we are with Omni-Man getting introduced into the world. A little weird that it took this long to see him in action, but I guess that Skybound Games needed something big to show off during EVO 2025. That did just happen, and now we all know we can recreate that epic fight from the Invincible show and comics, if we so want to. At least, when the game hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2026. A bit of time that is surely going to fly right by as we get more of the characters added in. Even if most of them are pretty much Superman-style characters up to now.
It is not as shocking to see that Omni-Man will be in Invincible VS, but it is a little shocking to see that there is not much of a difference between him and the many other Viltrumite characters in the mix so far. Beyond the motions that are built around the scenes we have seen the character in before, all of the moves and actions Omni-Man does feel a lot like Thula and Invincible so far. It is kind of hard to mix that up beyond just the animations when all of their powers and skills are about the same. Thula has the hair whip as the only big difference between the three. Maybe it will all function better in practice than in the videos, but it is a weird run so far with all of the “god-like” characters out of the gate and very few of the characters that can truly mix up the formula.

Did you think that Omni-Man was not going to be in Invincible VS, or was it pretty much a lock once the game was announced? Beyond the animations, how do you think Omni-Man will function and feel different than the others like him? Will we get any of the other characters out there in the universe to add diversity, or will this be mostly the Viltrumites with a few other god-level characters added in for variety?
