Sonic fans are going to have one more bit of fun at SDCC this year, with a Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds karting experience going down
It is starting to feel like SDCC 2025 is going to be the year of car experiences, with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds now showing up for an off-site event during the convention. A fun little way for SEGA to help promote the game before the September 25th launch on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. All while giving fans out at SDCC a fun little Karting experience with so many other Sonic-themed things going on. As long as you are in San Diego over the next week and willing to take a little bit of a drive or haunt away from the convention floor. Not only does it not require a badge, but there could be a few other little perks added in for heading out there.
The big draw here, obviously, will be the crossover with K1 Speed San Diego, where the indoor track and cars will have the theming for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds to give us some immersion. In addition to that, there will be some exclusive giveaways going on, a photo podium to showcase that you were there, a few arcade machines allowing for some classic SEGA fun, and then the merch crossover that is needed at all of these events. If you are looking to have a fun little experience and grab some Sonic K1 specific merch, then you might want to mark this one down as something to take the adventure out to. With exciting events happening in San Diego this month, SEGA is continuing its Racing Around the World fan celebration by bringing fans a unique, fully immersive karting experience at K1 Speed San Diego from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27.
Conveniently located near the Gaslamp Quarter, East Village, and Petco Park, K1 Speed San Diego will transform into a Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds-themed experience packed with fun activities and exclusive surprises for attendees to enjoy.
