Invincible VS Offers Up Some New Blasts With A Look At Rex Splode

Invincible VS — Rex Splode Gameplay

Another Invincible alum is coming to the fight with Rex Splode announced for the upcoming Invincible VS

Things are getting a bit more explosive out there for Invincible VS, as we have Rex Splode coming onto the scene of the fight. Another of the staple characters I had a feeling we were going to get in the game, with Skybound Games making the confirmation with a bit of gameplay. Some gameplay that shows off how the character will fight in the game, along with how much of the cockiness that Rex is going to bring over from the pages and screen of Invincible. It would have been a weird choice not to bring that all over, so it is good to see it here. Along with a bit on how Rex will be holding his own in the fights with all of these god-like fighters on the scene already.

As would be expected here, Rex is offering up all kinds of blasting powers as we have seen in the core of Invincible so far. That means that we are going to see a lot of juggling and keeping other fighters at bay, while randomly mixing in a few physical attacks from Rex as well. Not too shabby, but not something that feels like it will keep other fighters at bay, like Thula. Even if the gameplay does show that, the deep dive that we have for Thula in Invincible VS gives us a better look and feel there. Specifically, how Thula can use the hair blade to pull some Scorpion moves while also doing the same level of juggling that Rex can do. Either way, we do have a lot of fun to look at for the game, and still a whole lot more to dig into in the coming weeks as we head into 2026 for the full launch.

Invincible VS — Thula Deep Dive

Thula’s Ultimate puts her own “spin” on a classic move. Members of the Quarter Up team discuss how they adapted Thula’s moves from the comics and show into the game.

Were you afraid that Rex was not going to be in Invincible VS, or would that have been a weird choice to leave him out? How do you feel about the way the character’s personality is on display here, and does it feel exactly the same as we have had for years now? Do you like seeing that Thula will have some familiar fighting moves from other games, or is there only so many ways to make characters feel unique after decades of fighters out there? Fight it all out in the comment section and give us all the discussion you can muster up. There is still so much more for Invincible VS on the way, so please keep on checking back on the site for all of those updates and the many others still to come down the line out there.
