Peacemaker and IT: Welcome To Derry are on the way to SDCC, and Peacefest is going to give us all a fun experience to enjoy in the fandom
With a fun twist of events, it looks as if Peacemaker and IT: Welcome To Derry will be making a bit of a show out at SDCC this year. There was a lot of conversation about how HBO and Warner Bros. were not planning on bringing much to the convention this year. That all seems to only be in terms of the films, with both shows having a panel and screening. Along with Peacefest going down too. A fun little off-site thing for those without SDCC 2025 passes and to further showcase the new season of the show. Not only Peacefest coming out there, but some other creepy things will be wandering the streets of the Gaslamp during the week of July 24th to July 27th. Even if it might be hard to get into the exclusive part of it all, as you are reading all of this.
Just as many things for the convention, registered times for Peacefest have been scooped up, with more maybe on the way to the peacefest2025.com site. Potentially, there will be a standby line for those who missed out and still want to enjoy what Peacefest will offer. During it all, we will be able to check out the Peacecycle, meet Eagly and take a pic with the bird, enjoy a drink at the Harcourt KO Bar, and buy some merch for the show in the mix too. Those looking for a bit of horror in their life and not able to attend Peacefest, there is going to be a bit more creeping around the streets with Pennywise-inspired pedicabs offering free rides and brand ambassadors handing out chilling sweets throughout the San Diego Convention Center, Gaslamp Quarter, and Harbor areas. Normally, we are not supposed to take candy from strange clowns, but this feels like a solid exception. HBO Max is heading to San Diego this month with Peacemaker, from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television, and the upcoming HBO Original series IT: Welcome To Derry, from Warner Bros. Television. Beginning Thursday, July 24, HBO Max will host Peacefest, an immersive fan experience inspired by Peacemaker’s chaotic, glam rock–fueled world. The festivities will continue with a panel in Hall H, where showrunner/writer/director and Co-Head of DC Studios James Gunn and the cast of Peacemaker will share new details about the upcoming season and premiere the global trailer for season two.
The streamer will also bring IT: Welcome To Derry to downtown San Diego with eerie in-world pop-ups, including Pennywise-inspired pedicabs, a special sneak peek of the upcoming series, and the debut of a new teaser trailer, presented by special guests Andy and Barbara Muschietti.

From Thursday, July 24 through Saturday, July 26, HBO Max will bring Peacemaker’s favorite alternate dimension to life with an immersive ’80s glam rock bar experience at Nova San Diego nightclub. Guests will enter Peacefest through the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, featuring all of Peacemaker’s favorite things, including exclusive fan access to the Peacecycle from Season 2 and a limited opportunity for select fans to meet Peacemaker’s sidekick Eagly, in partnership with the American Eagle Foundation. Throughout the experience, fans can rock out to live musical performances, grab drinks and play themed games at Harcourt’s KO Corner Bar or visit Vigilante’s Hero S*** Merch Shop, where exclusive merchandise from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, DC Shop, licensed partners McFarlane Toys, Sideshow and Upper Deck will be available for purchase. Peacefest will also feature interactive character-themed booths like Adebayo’s Hero Test Photo Booth and Economos’ Ops Mortal Kombat gaming station.
Fans can now register at peacefest2025.com. Reservations are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will be selected for the Eagly meet-and-greet while waiting for entry to “Peacefest” during their reserved time. All guests must be 21 or older to attend.

Throughout “Peacefest”, a limited number of fans will be randomly selected to attend the VIP press night.
On Saturday, July 26, HBO Max will host the Peacemaker panel at the San Diego Convention Center in Hall H from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Panelists will include James Gunn, John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows. The highly anticipated global trailer for season two of the series will be released during the panel, which will be moderated by Josh Horowitz, host of MTV and the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.
