Painkiller Will Have Us All Raise Some Hell With Some Style

Painkiller — Pre-Order

The pre-orders for Painkiller have opened up and you can secure a little more for Painkiller before the launch

The gates are open and the pain is on the way with Painkiller launching on October 9th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not the biggest of news for all of us out there with Anshar Studios and 3D Realms not being too coy about when all of that was going to happen. What is the news that we have here for Painkiller, though, is that you can now start to throw money at the game to make sure you have all the fun little toys needed to play in this fun world. No, this is not a way they are trying to grab more money from you for the game. This is all about the pre-order options and goodies you can add in by throwing your money at the game extremely early. So, same money, just a different timeline for you to do it all in. Just like so many other games that do not really need to worry that you will not be able to buy it.

So, what do we all get for picking up a copy of Painkiller months in advance? Well, just like many titles out there, we are going to have options, and each will gain us access to various skins and DLC when the game launches or down the line. The first being the Standard edition of the game, which comes with the Iron Crusade skin pack that will give us a skin for each of the characters in the game and six skins for the weapons we will be using in the mix. Then there is the Deluxe edition of Painkiller that will offer up the same skin set and three additional DLCs to come after the launch of the game. Those looking to go physical with their game will have a different option that will still give you the same number of skins for everything, just a bit different and golden. A weird tactic to go with it all in the modern day of gaming, but if you already planned on buying one of the versions, you might as well get some free extras in the mix out there, too. Here is a fun little video that kind of highlights them all at the end of the action.

Are you gearing up to play Painkiller, and looking to snag one of these little pre-order bonuses to enjoy? Do character skins really make a difference in a first-person title, and will any of these be available through normal gameplay in the mix out there? What do you think the three extra DLCs will be post-launch, and will they be worth the extra $10 USD that the edition of the game is going to charge us all? Take all of those thoughts and feed the pain of it all down in the comment section. We still have months for Painkiller to launch, so there is still a lot of time to feed us all more for the game.
