Another version of Gears Of War is official, with Gears Of War: Reloaded on the way and with quite a few new looks to go with it
It was teased, rumored, announced, and now we get to see how Gears Of War: Reloaded is going to look when it lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming August 26th. A massive step up for The Coalition from where the game started out, but it is finally getting that full cross-play and platform treatment. It is even more fun that I have to mix of the GoW stuff between God Of War and now Gears Of War on the PlayStation. More so, as I have never had a chance to play one of those games for some weird reason. Not because we do not have an Xbox around the office here, but that is a story for another time. For now, back into the official look we have at this new remaster that is hitting us all over the place.
Now that we have the full confirmation that Gears Of War: Reloaded is happening and hitting all of the major platforms out there, let us see what it is going to bring us all. Well, for starters, we are getting those 4K and 120 fps visuals that everyone is always so hard for. The option to play the game cross-platform with cross-progression built right in. Along with a split-screen couch co-op bit that will run the whole of the game right in our living rooms if we do not want to hop online with it all. Even if all of this will hurt the Gears Of War purist out there, but for gamers like me, this is a gift from the Gods so I can actually give the game its proper chance out there. Have a look at how well things have been upgraded for this version of the game and then gear up to pre-order it all now if you are not going to get it on Game Pass right on the first day it is available.
Gears Of War: Reloaded — Official Trailer
The iconic original, faithfully remastered.
Experience the origins of one of gaming’s most acclaimed franchises like never before. Featuring 4K resolution, up to 120 FPS support, and the ultimate multiplayer experience with cross-progression and cross-play, across all platforms, this is the definitive way to experience the game that started it all.
Did you ever think you would see Gears Of War jump platforms out there, or was it just a matter of waiting for contracts to run out? Will the rest of the series make the way over if this one sells well, or is this just a sample to lure others into the IP and, thus, a different console? How many will actually play this title on different platforms to take advantage of the cross-progression, and will that be a feature that is hardly used when it launches? Take to the comments to give us all of those thoughts and everything else that is coming with it. We are aiming to cover more for Gears Of War: Reloaded, so expect more videos and write-ups for it. It is a game I have wanted to play, and unless my curse carries on, I think I will finally get that chance out there.
