The sequel to Atomic Heart is officially on the way and it looks like Atomic Heart 2 will open things up even further
After such an amazing showcase of what Mundfish could do, it would have been insane to not think we were not going to be seeing an Atomic Heart 2 out there in the world. If you thought it was not going to happen, then here is your wake-up call to let you know the sequel is on the way. More of that fun we had in Atomic Heart, and on a bigger scale as they offer up an all-new story for us to fight our way through on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it is fully ready. That timeline is still to be determined, but we do know the game is on the way and going to be picking up where things have left off. To a degree, at least. Let us all dig into that a bit more.
Just as the first Atomic Heart, the setting is staying the same with the alternate-history aspect and the utopian world we were supposed to have. At least, that was the plan until the rogue AI and robots made to make our lives better chose to rebel and fight back against humanity. Now that peace in the world has started to crumble, and we are heading out there for global stakes in Atomic Heart 2. Thankfully, that means we will have a fun arsenal of weapons to use and glove abilities to help find out more of the truth that has been hidden from us. Here is a quick look at what we can expect to see out there in the game. Some of it looks just like more of what we had, but a few nods to the newer things we will be fighting against and for if we so choose to take up the fight one more time. It is going to be one Hells of a ride.
