New DLC for Atomfall is on the way with the announcement we have for Atomfall — Wicked Isle
There is soon going to be a whole lot more to explore out there in the world of Atomfall, as we have the announcement for some new DLC. New DLC that Rebellion has put together and chose to call the Wicked Isle. As the name sort of implies, it looks as if it will be a whole new land that is pulled away from the core environments of Atomfall but still be filled with all manner of dangers we will need to navigate and handle out there. Thankfully, it looks like we will have all of our gear and skills to do so. Provided that you have played the core game and made it to the end by the time June 3rd comes around and the DLC launches on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions out there. So, you still have a little time.
Beyond all of that, there is not much to talk about in terms of what to expect in Atomfall with this DLC. It looks like we will have a new kind of cult wandering about in the game world, and that it will give us all a lot more to experience, but not much beyond that. Not a terrible thing, as it makes sure we are all surprised when it comes, but nothing that sings to the reasons we need to upgrade to the Deluxe editions or buy the DLC right out of the gate. Even the amazing new visuals and a little bit of gameplay we have to look at only makes it feel like more Atomfall and nothing deviating too far away. Although you might be able to see something we do not in the following footage, so have a go and see if you can pick out anything new. That or just wait a few more days and you can play it all for yourself, if you have the funds or correct editions already…
Atomfall — Wicked Isle DLC
Dare you visit the dark and lonely waters of the Wicked Isle?
Atomfall — Wicked Isle DLC is Included in the Deluxe Edition and in the Deluxe Upgrade Pack and available to purchase separately when released, Wicked Isle is available from June 3rd on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
Drawing on the folk horror elements of the game for inspiration, the story expansion is set on Midsummer Island. To cross to the island, players must talk to the boat-keeper who can be found on the jetty in Wyndham Village. He will give you information about the island as well as your first Lead.
Are you just ready to have more for Atomfall and glad to see this DLC is dropping so soon? What do you think will be the bigger issue running about this new island, and will it be something that expands the lore even further than we could have thought? How much of the core game elements will we have to master before we dive into all of this, and will it require beating the main game to be able to survive it all? Take a trip on down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that we have going on out there. If there is more for Atomfall, we will certainly add it all to the site here for you. So, please keep on checking back in here and on our social accounts to see and hear about all of it as it flows out there.
