Mafia: The Old Country Shows Off Even More Of The Sicilian Roots In The Game

Mafia: The Old Country — Where It All Began

Go even further into the Mafia lore with a look at how the world of Mafia: The Old Country is coming to life soon

Let us all go a bit further behind the curtain for Mafia: The Old Country to see just how things have been coming to life out there. In this new video update, just as we have had in others, Hangar 13 offers up a look at just how authentic the setting of the game is going to be. All in the way of the real-world history of the Mafia as well as the rendition of 19900s Sicily that we will be getting in the game. As long as you can still fully hold out until August 8th when the game will be hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. At least you will not need to wait until then to get to see just how the world has been brought to life. We have that for you now…

Below is another of the ongoing episodes of the behind-the-scenes for Mafia: The Old Country and this is where we get to see how some of the team took to the streets of Sicily in the real world to make sure they had the perfect refences for the location. On top of that, we get to see how some of the old reference photos of the time have been used to build extra story and themes around the setting that was not perfectly documented in history. Something we get to see even more of when it comes to the knives and weapons of the time. This is something that they were only able to find one crafter who is still working on making handcrafted knives out there in the still the Mafia would have used. Even if some of that lore has been lost to time. A solid point towards why we should always be documenting things, so we have perfect snapshots of the past.
