A new bit of gameplay for Displacement is here to tease us all with a little more of the darkness Displacement is going to put us in
It has been a good bit of time since we had a fun update for Displacement, and here we go to dive back into the darkness this game is going to place out there when it comes. As long as Obelisk Studio is able to complete it all and make sure it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That is still a bit in the wings as they need more funding to do so. That is why we are back with another look at Displacement and get a feel for the cinematic side of things as well as the gameplay that will be coming in the game. At least for those out there who can handle some weird and atmospheric horror in their video games. This one looks like it is going to deliver on all fronts as long as the funding does finally go through.
In this new slice of video we have for Displacement, we get to see our main character going through a bit of a rough situation with coming to all bound and in a polar research station. One that does not feel like the crew is doing the research they should be any more, or even if they are still alive. This is where some of the madness of the game starts to creep in, and we see some of the scenes play out more. Along with that, we get a little taste of the temperature mechanic that Displacement will also be using. It looks like it will be freezing the edges of the screen to help indicate the dire situations to us, but it is hard to see how that is affecting anything in the short scene we get to see play out. That is where more of the darkness and madness seem to kick in, and you can witness it all just a little lower down on the page. Have a look and see if you will be tossing out some pre-order or wishlisting this one on your accounts.

Have you followed along with Displacement since we first offered it up on the site, or is this your first time seeing things in motion? How do you think the temperature mechanics will affect that madness of the game, and will we see other bits creep in beyond just the frozen screen? How weird will some of the other characters get in the story, and will we see more of a supernatural bend by the end, or will it stay grounded and mostly be in our heads? Take to the comment section to release all of those thoughts and feelings about the game there. We are keeping up on Displacement as best as we can, so please keep up on the site for those updates too. We will have them as long as we are all supporting the smaller teams to give us the horrors we crave in our video games.
