More of the Horror Unleashed is getting geared up with a look at more of the haunts coming to Universal Horror Unleashed at opening
The months are ticking away as we wait for the Universal Horror Unleashed experiences to open up in Las Vegas, NV. We are halfway to Halloween now, and we have still so much more to see and hear about for this year-round experience that Universal Studios is putting on out here. Hells, the building is still under construction as of this week, but that does not mean we should not be seeing what other haunts are going to be inside when it is done. There are four of them already geared up, and we have had a chance to check out Scarecrow: The Reaping already. Now, though, we need to see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a bit more in motion when it lands at Universal Horror Unleashed. A haunt that might have been seen before at Halloween Horror Nights in the past, but this version does look like it could be adding so much more to it all when it hits the desert out here.
Just as one might assume, this version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will be treading on some of the past iterations, given the number of times it has been used before Universal Horror Unleashed was even thought of. Thankfully, it looks like that is being taken into account with this new version, dialing in some of those haunts and walking us all through the whole IP in a linear manner. Even if the remakes, reboots, and sequels might make that a little difficult to follow or even do out there. No matter the case, Leatherface and the chainsaw will be fully on display as they recreate all of the houses, farms, and slaughter that we have seen from the IP already. I have a slight fear that we might have to walk through a bus with Leatherface chasing right along, but maybe they will leave some of the lesser versions of the IP outside of Universal Horror Unleashed here. A fan of it all can hope and also get ready to watch others run in fear from the chainsaws once more out here.
Universal Horror Unleashed — The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Get ready for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, one of four terrifying haunted houses at Universal Horror Unleashed, coming to Las Vegas in 2025. Hear from the horror masterminds at Universal as they describe what’s in store for you at this fully immersive, year-round experience. Along with the haunted houses, Universal Horror Unleashed will also feature unique themed entertainment areas and decadent food and drink offerings.
While The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the bigger names that Universal Horror Unleashed will be dropping out there, we cannot forget some of the original IPs that Universal Studios has given us over the years, too. The next haunt we have to show off here is the Scarecrows: The Reaping House. It does fall in line a little with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a little bit, with the rural farm setting, but this is one that will see the various scarecrows coming to life and hunting us down as we invade the property. It is another from the past of Horror Nights, but with how unique of an IP it was and how easy it could be to overlook, I have a feeling it will be right at home in Universal Horror Unleashed, and one that might scare more than we would think. At least, in this one, we will not be able to remember the story beats and know when the jumps are chases are about to happen. Have a look at it and get ready to be scared, just a little more out there.
Universal Horror Unleashed — Scarecrow: The Reaping House
One of the terrifying haunted houses at Universal Horror Unleashed, Scarecrow: The Reaping plunges you into the middle of a dusty nightmare. You’ll explore a farm during the great Midwestern Dust Bowl of the 1930s where horrifying scarecrows come to life to wreak havoc on those who’ve ravaged their land. Created by the horror experts at Universal and featuring haunted houses, live entertainment, unique characters and environments, themed dining and more, Universal Horror Unleashed is a year-round horror destination coming to Las Vegas in August 2025.
