The official sequel to CAPTURED is finally announced with the latest reveal we have here for CAPTURED 2
It feels like the first title in this series just came out and now here we are with the announcement for CAPTURED 2. A sequel to the title of the same name that came from Puck Games back in October 2024 for the PC. Yeah, not too long ago at all, but it did get some massively high praise out there in the mix. So, that just means that it was only inevitable for CAPTURED to get a sequel and take us back into the forgotten past where weird entities stalk us and want to help us all end with all of our living. All with that fun mascot horror vibe that is still popular out there but with not as many fake mascots being what will be killing us out there. The true twist to the IP and everything, but I digress. For now, let us dig into what we have here for the announcement and sequel.
While CAPTURED 2 will expand upon the story from the previous game, there is no full need to have played that one to get the full experience here. That experience being that we are playing as a character named Emily who has gone missing and wakes up in an endless hallway of sorts. One that will be procedurally generated and filled with all kinds of horrors we are going to need to survive with some limited tools at our disposal. Each of them feeling unique and offers up some true terror to haunt us all as we push on. All while keeping the nostalgic experience that CAPTURED gave us with a VHS look and feel that will whisk some of us right back into the 90s. Those who did not live that era will just get another sample of it all to help keep things out of focus and questioning if you should open that next door. Have a look at it all in motion just a little lower down the page and see if it is going to be something that pulls you into another forgotten past.
CAPTURED 2 — Official Announcement
Emily, a teenage girl who goes missing during a series of unexplained disappearances, finds herself trapped in an endless hallway within her own apartment, slowly losing her memory. Strange anomalies begin to appear, and by capturing them, she catches glimpses of her forgotten past.
Deadly entities, taking the form of Emily’s childhood toys, roam the loops to stop her from uncovering the truth. Use your flashlight, camera, and the very doors around you to survive each entity’s unique mechanics.
Inspired by analog and found-footage horror movies such as Skinamarink, liminal spaces, and early 2000s supernatural horror, CAPTURED 2 offers an eerie atmosphere and unsettling sound design. Experience the horror through the lens of a nostalgic aesthetic, with realistic graphics and immersive camera movement.
CAPTURED 2 is the sequel to CAPTURED, the anomaly-hunting horror game released on October 15, 2024. While it expands on the world of the first game, it features a standalone story, so players can enjoy it without having played the first title.
Features:

Did you have a chance to play CAPTURED the first time around or is this the first you are hearing about the IP? Are you a fan of this kind of horror and does the weird mascots that are not mascots drive any fearful thoughts into your brain? Will the 90s trope be one that we keep coming back to when we need to have a grainy look to the game or could we see something else come out in the near future that many others will try to emulate too? Creep on down to the comment section of the page and drop all of those thoughts there. We will certainly give you all more for CAPTURED 2 as we get it, so please keep on checking back in for all of that and everything else that we can find to share. We are a huge fan of horror around here, so expect to have a whole lot more of all of that too.
