Get ready to dive in with the announcement for Dark Mass, a new horror title that takes us deep underwater to explore a new Dark Mass
The horror train is just not stopping today with the new announcement that we have to share for Dark Mass. A new title on the way to us all from Path Games and aiming to give us more frights on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it does finally surface out there. Of course, with a name like Dark Mass, I am sure that many have gone down the path of a religious horror title. They would be wrong, though, as it seems this one takes us all in a different direction. Even if we have had a whole lot of these kinds of titles as of late. No, this one takes us underwater and will keep us all in the deep sea for the entire ride of it all. Not a massive twist, sure, but not one that many might expect by just skimming the title and basics.
Now that we have that all out of the way, what exactly is Dark Mass? Well, it is a new first-person psychological horror title starring a character named Alice. An Alice that is not going mad through a looking glass, but one that is a deep sea explorer out on a mission with brother Reed to find the wreckage of an ancient ship. Instead of a ship, though, Alice finds a mysterious manor that has been lost under the water and houses a cures within it. This is where Alice will need to use all kinds of skills to not drown in the mix of things, explore the building, and survive all of the dark beings that the cure brings. All with another twist that Dark Mass will have us swimming as a diver the whole time but the horrors and puzzles within are not being hindered by the watery depths we all find ourselves in. An interesting and terrifying take on things that you can see just a bit lower down right now.

What do you think about the premise that we are getting here for Dark Mass and does it feel like it will be even more terrifying seeing that we are truly out of our element in the game? Will we only have a few things that can sprint at us in the game or will it only be certain creatures that are not slowed down by the water? Is this all going to happen for real to Alice or could all of this be a dying vision as our character slowly loses life due to a mass on their brain from all of the diving? Let us know all of your thoughts and then discuss them in the comments below. We will offer up all that we can for Dark Mass as we get more, so please keep on checking in with the site for that. I know it will be a wild ride and if it all plays out well, it could be a whole new style of horror we have yet to experience.
