New gameplay for Split Fiction is here to also highlight a new feature coming to Split Fiction by the way of side stories
Those who might have been looking to have more than just another co-op experience with the upcoming Split Fiction are going to need to get their reading glasses ready, as it looks like there is going to be a whole lot more to the story to consume. Not just in the length of the game, but in something extra that Hazelight Studios is dropping into the mix. Something that does not normally go along well with other games that EA puts out there. We are talking about Side Stories. This is a way that we can further expand the narrative of Split Fiction and have a bit more fun on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when the game launches on March 6th. Even if they all do sound quite a bit as one would expect based on just the name.
If you have not been able to piece it together yet, Side Stories are going to be just that in Split Fiction. Something that will allow us to head off the path of the main story with our friend in the game and see what some of the other writers in the fictional world are able to come up with. They will appear around the game world as little anomalies that we can enter and be whisked off to a whole new world and setting. Even if they all do seem to fit into the Sci-Fi and Fantasy at the core of Split Fiction. That is based on the trailer we have announcing all of this, but maybe we can see something else like horror, period piece, or the like slip in to truly shake things up during our play. Unless that is something that they are going to force in via DLC down the line…

Did you expect to see side stories like this in Split Fiction and will it be more than a quick level diversion from the main story? How much extra will it add to the game and will any of the stories flesh out other parts of the narrative? Will we see any other kind of fiction in the mix or will it still boil down to the two that the protagonists write for? Slide on down to the comment section to leave those thoughts and maybe pick up some new ones through discussion. When we get anything else to share for Split Fiction, we will share it all here with you. Please keep on checking back for those updates and any others we have to share with the world along the way.
