Last time, we had a bit of an introduction into how Marvel Cosmic Invasion came to be, and now the team from Tribute Games is back to show off how some of the characters came into being in the game. Along with that, how many we can expect to play as, and how some of them will function beyond the basic beat-em-up style of gameplay. Not too shabby to get us all prepped for the Cosmic Invasion when it kicks off on December 1st for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. They are going to need all of the help they can get out there, so let’s dive into how some of the bigger names and the smaller names are bringing the fun to life.
The team goes deeper into each of the 15 different characters we will have at launch for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, rather well in the following video. So, I won’t be doing a breakdown for each here. What is interesting is that they chose to make sure we had some very well-known characters out there, along with some lesser-known ones, too. Not a terrible choice, but not one I would expect from a team and game that will be fighting to keep up with other titles in the same vein. Almost as if MARVEL Cosmic Invasion might need the bigger names now and then, could blend in the smaller ones as the life cycle carries onward. I’m not complaining, but this feels like a gambit that may or may not pay off, depending on the audience that will be consuming these video games. Even if it will most likely be those who are already fans of the core IP and story already.
