A new developer diary is here for Nightmarchers to show us how we will always need to weigh our options and learn who to trust in Nightmarchers
As we head on into the new year and future of the world, it is time to take another look at more of those post-apocalyptic games out there as we have more for Nightmarchers to look at here. We are not just talking about the deadly ghosts of ancient Hawaiian warriors here, but also the new title coming to our PCs from Wyrmbyte as long as their Fig campaign comes through. Maybe you have heard of the game before or maybe you have not, but Nightmarchers is an open-world title that takes place after some horrible events and our hero is trying to sort out the madness on amongst the Hawaiian Islands using the powers of the ancient gods as well as good old-fashioned firearms. That can count as a different God now right?
In the most recent of developer diaries for Nightmarchers, we also see that we will also get more of the power of choice mixed into all of the other abilities in the game. Some can be the more violent way to handle things while others can be the more “stealthy” option to go about finishing off the mission. Mixed into all of that, it looks like sometimes the “right” choice may also not be the best one as NPCs will turn on us based on our choices or they may be “playing” us from the start. The usual NPC thing that we should all know happens in video games, but Nightmarchers is looking to add extra twists in to try to keep us all on our toes to make sure we do not get royally screwed throughout the game. Have a look at see what I speak of.
Nightmarchers — Multiple Solutions And Outcomes
A quick video showing an early mission in the game and all the ways you can complete the mission and what the various outcomes are from those decisions.
Just in case you have been left out of the loop for Nightmarchers up to now, here is a look at the pre-alpha trailer that was first released to give us a good feel for what is going on in the game. It looks to have many of the same elements as many of the more recent open-world post-apocalyptic title, but that is not always a bad thing. We will see how Wyrmbyte handles it all and if you like what you see, you can help invest in the game over on their Fig page and then hope to see Nightmarchers hit a PC near you soon.
Nightmarchers — Pre-Alpha Trailer
Here it is, our first public video showing off Nightmarchers, our post-apocalyptic Hawaiian shooter where you learn powers from the ancient Hawaiian gods to fight back against Kamapua’a and his raiders. We hope you enjoy it! Let us know what you think either in the comments or at one of our social media sites listed in the movie at the end.
What are your thoughts on Nightmarchers as it all goes here? Has it caught your attention now or does it still look like many of the other titles in the genre at this point and will need to advance a bit more before you are ready to jump on the wagon here? Do you think that we will get the option to try and “out” NPCs like we have here or will they always be set and no matter the choices will be on our side or against us? Let us know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. We will hopefully have more for Nightmarchers soon and when we do, we will bring it all to you. Just be sure to keep checking back in on the site for it all.
