Another video for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is here and it delves more into the weaponry of Wolfenstein II and how it has changed since the last game
Here we go with another update for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and this time we are digging into the weapons and new systems that we will get to use to take down all of those Nazis that have occupied the United States in the fictional setting that Machine Games has crafted for us. It’s no big surprise that we are going to get to dual-wield firearms again, nor is it all that much of a surprise that we will get to dual-wield different weapons in the game to keep things playing as we wish to. Wolfenstein II is going to have a lot of Nazis in there and we are going to need to kill them all as best we can to save the country and restore the proper government again. At least this is if Bethesda doesn’t have plans to keep the franchise rolling on and need us to ‘lose’ somehow to make sure they can keep making the game well into the future.
We will also be getting a lot more in terms of the arsenal in Wolfenstein II, again not another surprise, but it does look like we are going to get to ride the Panzerhund more than just a select sequence. At least if what I have understood in the following video, it is something that B.J. will get to do a few times. This is good as it looks like our melee weapon will, the hatchet, won’t be something we will always have at our side. We will be able to throw it into the skulls of the enemies as well as all of the other stealth attacks that we’ve seen, but seeing as they will be placed all around the maps in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, it looks like we will have to recoup them in some instances. This does add to a bit more of the realism of the game, but it is going to be yet another resource to manage in the game.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus — When There’s Trouble, Make It Double!
The Nazis in the sequel to Machine Games’ critically acclaimed game are tougher than ever, with bumped-up returning baddies — including the lumbering SuperSoldat who can now charge toward the player — along with powerful new adversaries like the fast-moving, laser-shooting, wall-clinging UberSoldat cyborgs.
Luckily, BJ has some new ways to fight back against Nazis — including the ability to freely dual-wield his diverse collection of big guns.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is still slated to release on October 27th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There is still plenty of time to secure your pre-order for the game or to wait for more information to flow out to help make your decision. That is of course as long as Wolfenstein II stays a work of fiction and doesn’t become a weird parallel to the real world and the game gets ‘canceled’ or stripped from shelves. Let us desperately hope that doesn’t become the case here and we can just enjoy another game from Bethesda as we wait for more in the future.
Do you like the new dual-wield system for Wolfenstein II that we are getting or is it something that could make the game easier in the long run? How often do you think the Panzerhund will show up for us to ride and then scorch the world and Nazis with it? Do you like the fact that we may have to hunt for more hatchets as the game progresses or do you think we should always have a melee weapon at the ready without that worry in the game? Let the world know and then feel free to discuss down in the comments. We still have some time before Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches which means we will have more to share. Be sure to keep checking in to stay up to date on all of it and not miss a single bit.
