Some new gameplay is here for Hollowbody to give us a look at the combat we are going to get into when playing Hollowbody
I hope you are ready for a good fight out there, as the new gameplay we have for Hollowbody is leaning a bit into that. No, the game has not shifted from a survival horror game to a fighting one, but Headware Games is offering up a look at the combat we can expect when the game hits the PC down the line. Hollowbody is not going to be another of the walking simulation horrors out there and is leaning more into its Silent Hill inspirations more than anything. Let us see how we are going to bash up some horrors out there in these streets and what we will be using to do all of that as well. It looks like we are going to have a whole lot of options out there.
In addition to the combat of Hollowbody, we do get a few of the puzzles we can expect in the game, but there is more of a focus on the fighting once you take stock of it all. Not a terrible thing, but something worth noting for those who are still reading and not jumping right down to the video already. All of these still feel just as we should expect for a game taking a lot of inspiration from the 2000s games that helped to make the genre popular out there. They all had to crawl so Hollowbody could start to walk, or something akin to that mindset. Here is that look at the gameplay for you so you can get the full idea of what to expect just in case the whole Silent Hill thing did not make that clear already.
Hollowbody — Gameplay
A brand new look at puzzle and combat gameplay.
Hollowbody is a third-person survival horror game with an emphasis on strong world-building set in a dystopian near-future. With classic survival horror gameplay inspired by early 2000s horror titles such as Silent Hill 2, 3, Kuon, and Rule of Rose.
It’s a Shipper’s biggest fear. You’re grounded in the exclusion zone, twenty miles of death and decay sealed off by the towering, suffocating walls erected after the collapse.
Alone, stranded, and with limited resources at your disposal, you’ll have to push your way through the zone, solve environmental puzzles, manage resources, and fight for your life as you try to find a way to escape beyond the wall.
