Another trailer for The Sinking City is out and delves further into the insanity we may encounter in The Sinking City when it launches
If you have not caught on by now, The Sinking City is going to be a Lovecraft-inspired title that will dive right into the mythos that has been created there. Nothing terribly new to know from what Frogwares has already stated and shown us all for the game. Going along with all of that will have to be the theme of sanity and the act of losing it. At least if The Sinking City truly wants to take on the “inspired” part and not just “kind of be based on” instead. I guess it is good that we get new trailers like the one we have here today as it definitely looks like they are tackling that whole sanity side of things and not only focusing on other parts of the mythos.
In the following trailer for The Sinking City, we get to see what can be thought of how the sanity aspect will work into things. Sadly, there is not much in the way of gameplay footage that we have not seen a dozen times already, but this one does hammer home the theme the team is aiming for. It is hard to tell if it will blend into the full game as we see here, but having someone question the presence of tentacles growing out of their face only to have them “shave” them off does seem like a mad thing to do. Especially when they stay so unaffected by the thought while in the process of it all. Have a look and get another feel of the tone The Sinking City will most likely be taking when it launches.
The Sinking City — A Close Shave
It starts with the nick of a razor blade, a small pool of blood forming on the surface of the skin. From there, it only gets weirder, my thoughts are a whirlpool that drags me down, into a world, unlike anything I’ve ever known. It all starts with the nick of a razor…
How do you feel about what you just saw for The Sinking City here? Does it fit with what you were hoping for when it came to sanity in the game or will it be a teaser video that does not truly play into the core game at all? Would you like to see things like this appear in the final game or would that be too hard for Frogwares to code for at the end of the day? Let us all know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more of The Sinking City, pull your eyes out and shove them into your screen here. We will keep it all coming at you just as have always done…
