The final characters for Samurai Shodown’s roster have been fully revealed just before Samurai Shodown’s launch this week
This week is the week where Samurai Shodown releases for the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Now we finally have a look at the whole roster of characters that will be coming at launch and outside of the free DLC that SNK will be offering until the end of the month. As it turns out, there were five more characters that had yet to be fully shown off as we led up to the release here. It looks like the marketing for Samurai Shodown should have started a few weeks earlier to keep with their one a week plan they were going with. I will not be upset as it is five more characters coming to the game at launch and we can see them all in action just below.
Here we get a good look at Jubei, Earthquake, Hanzo, Kyoshiro, and Wu Ruixiang for Samurai Shodown and a bit on how they will play when the game hits on June 25th. We have seen some of them in the past videos for the game, sure, but now we see them doing their thing and not being just a punching bag for the other characters in there. I am fully digging Earthquake and Ruixiang for some reason when looking at all of these new fighters for the roster. I hope they actually play in Samurai Shodown just as they look here. Feel free to go through them all and download the game tomorrow if your interests have been piqued again.
Samurai Shodown — Jubei
A man of honor, a man of distinction, a man of good taste. Jubei can read his opponents and show them exactly what it means to Embrace Death.
Samurai Shodown — Earthquake
GET!
THAT!
CHICKEN!!!
Samurai Shodown — Hanzo
What’s that visor for, anyway? Hanzo is the most “ninja” of the bunch and he doesn’t mess around and takes embrace death super serious.
Samurai Shodown — Kyoshiro
We think Dio said it best in Heaven and Hell “You’ve got to bleed for the dancer…” This dance will make you embrace death every time.
Samurai Shodown — Wu Ruixiang
Don’t let the cute exterior fool you, that shield hurts something fierce and the traps are something else entirely. You will definitely embrace death when you face off against Wu Ruixiang.
Are you fully ready for Samurai Shodown to hit us or does it feel like it is launching out of the blue here? Do any of these characters speak to you in a special way or will they just be other things to punch and cut in the full game? Have you figured out your main yet or will you need time with each character to get a better idea than these short videos that we have had? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. If there is more for Samurai Shodown, we will add it all to the site here. Be sure to keep checking back in for all of that as we march on.
